Another stuck in the past guy crying because he got old and the world passed him bye. Some of the points made sense but that sit back mentality is disgusting thinking nothing is ever going to change.
We need to change before the next man so we can be in the drivers seat for once.

I agree with you but just know that it's a lot more easier said than done. In case you didn't notice, gentrification has a whole lot to do with the government.

That’s true, I just went through an almost 2 year court battle with my landlord over my parents rent controlled apartment, if I would have chosen a more a aggressive lawyer my buyout would have been much higher but I chose a fukking loser who I’m positive worked with the landlord to settle my case for less.
Now I’m looking for a studio or 1 bedroom in Manhattan for 2300 per month tops. Anyone have tips or good websites to search?

The choice was take it all the way to trail , if I won I could stay, if I happen to lose I could appeal but then a new Trial would cost me another 4K. In total I have spent close to 8k in fees. When I was offered over 10 times that amount to leave I took it , in hindsight I could maybe gotten closer to 120k with a better lawyer.

would you rather live among a bunch of poor violent negroes (no 'cism) or elitist, hipster CACs? If you want to be safe, we all know the answer. Yeah, I'd rather Harlem be gentrified by nice professional black people, but there aren't enough of us to do that.

Interesting to see who dapped this. :mjpls:

The city needs to acquire land in working class communities and stop letting developers take land.

Because of all the rent stabilized apartments , all the developers are interested in only luxury units
Buying up the land would do what exactly? This post makes no sense. Please explain what you are talking about in away that seems interesting and intelligent.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.

It makes no sense yet the city has been doing that since Bloomberg.

The land that spring creek sits on top of.

The land that Nehemiah took to build affordable homes in Brownsville, east New York and the Bronx and Harlem.

The land that Mitchell Lama buildings sit on.

The land that houses the large building complex that housing connect interviews possible tenants for affordable lottery housing.

Not a matter of intelligence if you aren’t providing anything.

Oh and those dirt cheap brownstones they were giving for chump change back in the 80s? Yup city owned!

It’s pretty clear that the city knows how to develop the lands in nyc more than any greet developer. I’ll take a massive building complex with affordable units for working class people over a lot turned into a 3 story luxury box for rich folks who surpass everyone in that area driving up cost
