Beverage Fridge, 3rd Row!!
It's OVER for Mott Haven

so many developments going on it's actually insane

It's pretty much late 90s Williamsburg, give it 10 years and it'll be at LEAST 25% white

If you ride the 6 train in the early stops, like 138th, Brook, Cypress, 143rd you already see whites at those train stops.

Pretty much everything below Hostos Community College & 149th is their focus, for now...

The moral grandstanding in relation to ownership needs to fall back, NYC never had a high rate of ownership generally. And plus the relevant factors made renting more practical/reasonable even for middle class New Yorker's.

the people who DO OWN are cashing out or jacking up the prices.

At the end of the day it's simple supply and demand and ultimately capitalism.

Ain't shyt you can do about it.

Are you concerned that graffiti is being lost in the Bronx and whites are taking over the train lines like that moronic poster ? He claimed that was the most important lost in the Bronx, not people being displaced or being priced out but that outsiders have taken over the train lines . In his mind it's 1976 not 2016.

It would be nice if we could get some more trains and clean stations.

Of course I'm concerned, but when you don't control the money, this is what happens.

it fukkin sux, but that's capitalism. My aunt lives in South Bronx off Creston Ave, my other aunt lives a little farther north off gun barrel. My father, grandmother, grandaunt all live in Esplanade Gardens off 147th and 7th in Harlem. When I visit, I see the shyt going down.

You also got areas that legitimately look like shyt and have been for years in valuable areas getting bought up and revitalizing the area. Is that something to be upset at? I can't sit and lie and say it is. But on the other hand when cats get forced out of places, I have a problem with that, especially if they own the jawn.

In a capitalistic society, living in certain areas isn't a right. When the money potential gets too big in certain areas, gentrification happens. At least those who own shyt can get a check out of it. It's better than nothing.

And nothing is wrong with cashing out or getting the highest price you can for your property, it's the irrational "these poor people should have owned...and they deserve everything they get for not owning" rhetoric thrown around by some in this thread. It's just grandstanding and wanting to punch people when they are down, they are screaming at poor people for not foreseeing the greatest increase in real estate prices in the last century...how the fukk does that make sense on any level?

lol you are full of shyt. i never said it was the most important thing lost in the bronx. i did say its a shame to see a hip hop legacy disappear like it has in brooklyn. saying i think that is worse than people losing their homes is insane. however, you are giving off very strong :mjpls: vibes. are you going to a gallery show tonight? maybe do some wheat pasting?

I just hate how people use it against POC like they should've known better when it just wasn't feasible.

How can they get forced out if they own?
