how is brooklyn heights?

I'd suggest Harlem. not nearly as gentrified as the hot parts of Brooklyn, still safe, 20-30 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and the hottest chicks in the city.

My boy lives in a luxury apartment building in Harlem and the rent is $3300 for 2 bedrooms 2 baths plus theres a lounge, gym, courtyard, library, & rooftop deck inside the building. Plus he has a lot of black neighbors. In Brooklyn that's like 6k and it'd be smaller.

If you got 3k to spend on an apartment, you can get a really nice place in Brooklyn for with leaving the 1.3-2k range. Hell you could even rent a house.

I would look around the country for a cheap city that is "good enough". I can go to NYC/SF/whereever whenever I want with the money I'm saving by not living there

Brooklyn heights is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in America. 2k ain't cuttin it

I am planning a trip to NY soon. Are you guys all the black neighborhoods are disappearing...that's a shame.

It's exaggerated a little bit on the coli, as the neighborhoods you would expect to be majority black are still majority black, but it is true that you'll see yuppies in places you would have never imagined until a few years ago.

nikkas dont give a fukk anymore. They will do that until they be forced to live in upstate NY or in the south. Crack really fukked up the chance of generational wealth.

That's definitely a thing, you can get a nice 1 bedroom apartment in most upstate cities for not even 500 dollars per month, so it's a good alternative for many people. Obviously it's not NYC but I know a lot of former NYC brehs who moved up here and like being able to work a 12$ per hour job, pay their rent, and still have money left over.

That's definitely a thing, you can get a nice 1 bedroom apartment in most upstate cities for not even 500 dollars per month, so if you don't want to live in the projects it can be a good way to have more disposable income for those who don't see themselves getting anything but a retail job.

I know one nurse in my hospital that commutes from around Newburgh to NYC almost everyday by car. That's like 60 miles one way.

She said her house is cheap tho.

That's a ridiculous commute, but I can see why she does it. It might not be the most exciting place to live, but she's building generational wealth and living within her means.

Harlem has a lot of them alternative black women that work out and some Dominican chicks that be on that policy.
