That's like a full hour away from Manhattan by subway, right? Which many people wouldn't mind but it seems like this dude wants to live in the middle of everything.Like Canarsie, where I live.

32 mins from the last stop on the L (rockaway parkway) to the 1st stop in manhattan. Rent and don't own brehs…
Invest in Benzes n bytches instead of Businesses and Brownstones
Have u been in prison the last 20 years
A 1 BR in a prime location in NYC is gonna run you at least $3K
U can get a decent place in a 2nd tier location (Astoria, Prospect Heights, Upper East Side) for like $2K.
Don't forget u save a good amount of money not having a car. Everything me n wifey save on rent, we end up paying in gas, insurance and my toys
But at the end of the day, eventually u have to decide what you're gonna do at 40, 50, 60.... financially, moving to NYC makes no sense as there is no way you will be able to build equity or have any kind of quality of life with a family or in old age on a $2K for rent budget. So its either move there and blow a hundred K or so to say you did it... or move somewhere "boring" and sock money away.
I moved to Charlotte after 28 yrs in NYC and it's been the best move I ever made. Charlottes not NYC and it never will be.... but it has its own things going that in many ways are just as satisfying. NYC is still the greatest city in the world, but in the last ~15 years it's become a terrible place to live for anyone but the young and/or rich.
Hipsters >>>>> hood nikkas acting stupid in the streets
Major cities would be a better place to live if goons and hoodrats didn't live there.
Every day I walk around Crown Heights I'm like "Where did all the black people go?"
Only good thing about gentrification is the level of fitness has increased. Gyms popping up all over the place. Black women out there jogging in droves.
But yall keep talking about "black people not owning anything". Black people DID own their homes, but they either sold them or are renting them out and have moved elsewhere. Hell my old building had two successive black landlords before the last one sold it to a Jew.
There's too much black history in Nyc breha ots a shame
nyc at least still has the raw numbers
And then it's even more time if you have to go somewhere else in Manhattan
And how was Rochdale when you left? Did the hallways still smell like sewage?
Yeah it saddens me when I see Hacidics becoming the majority in stuy-raq cacs all thru HarlemThere's too much black history in Nyc breha ots a shame
