i was just reading the daily news and had no idea they opening up a red lobster by the apollo and a gap factory. i remember being with my pops as a kid walking down 125th and see nothing but nikkkas. haven't been on 125th in years, i can't imagine what the shyt looks like.
Is this a bad thing? People from the area will have jobs because no whites are going to work at the Gap and red lobster. The theme of this whole thread is everyone wants the past again, they want the old days of crime and no jobs and rundown buildings and ignorant behavior . Bottom line is that all these areas would be nice if the locals keep the clean and crime free. If apartments were rundown and the community rallies to fix them themselves instead of outside help. If the corner store could match the price of a chain store or if the corner store got on board with offering fresh new products and the locals support the place and not rob it or hang out infront of it and cause problems they would still be there. Local businessmen can buy into chain stores and employee locals who live there. Again no one wants to admit that being ignorant and not supporting the community when they had a chance is the reason the areas are dead. Who cares if there is a whole foods being opened? Well one is the locals out of work and need a check that's who. People have to let go of the old days and bs , guys talking the poor can't live any where , well let's ask this question, how long does it take accept responsibility for your situation and change it? How long before you look in the mirror and say the life in living is nowhere and why do I want my kids to live the same?

I see some people still don't understand that NYC had to get cleaned up. People are basically living to pay rent and overpriced shyt. Some heads in this thread still don't believe in ownership.

You either are a racist or have a ton of self-hate.

neither, i just want us to win, and to win we have to adjust our way of thinking, in the 1970's heroin destroyed whole communities, families you name it, imagine if people would have rejected it? Imagine if we would have taken a stand on that issue, the dealers didn't have guns on people forcing them to buy, if they eliminated the demand, those areas could have grown, then you go the crack era, again imagine we took a stand and rejected the crime and lost lives from that crap, we would be in better shape and could win, is that self hate to want us to succeed and prosper instead crying about the old days? We could have prevented these days by being ready and united with a community that didn't need to be revitalized by whites, is that racist to want embrace new ideas with the old?

NY crime rates have been down for a long time. Gentrification has nothing to do with minorities committing crimes or not supporting their local businesses. They got out-priced, simple as that.

Blood-Soaked Mayor Bloomberg Announces Homelessness No Longer A Problem In New York City

NEW YORK—Drenched in drying blood and limping slightly, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg triumphantly stated this morning that the city’s longstanding homeless problem had finally been solved. “Homelessness is over—it’s not a problem anymore,” a winded Bloomberg said to a City Hall press conference while gripping the lectern tightly to prevent his hands from shaking. “I fixed the problem. Problem solved.” When asked by reporters if permanent housing had been provided for the city’s 50,000 homeless, Bloomberg assured them the new lodgings were quite permanent.

sure, provide a shuttle straight to NJ and be done with them. I'm shocked they haven't set something up at the tunnels and bridges yet.

homeless get a free one way ride to NJ, $100 for a month of food, and a $50 gift card to buy some clothes at WalMart

Affording to live in NY wouldnt be a problem if people took school serious when they were young and pursued a career instead of settling for section 8, welfare, and food stamps.. blame yourselves for letting the cacs crush the buildings(literally :lolbron:) and build some nice new stores around NYC to attract a variety of people to flood out the crime ridden roach infested neighborhoods of NYC...

nikkas talking about some damn culture.. u better take your ass down to 125th street and get some crab legs and stop fronting:mjpls:

From last year...but what's your take on this?

EAST WILLIAMSBURG — When Caprice Esser starts her work day each morning, the freelance hairstylist feels inundated by a cacophony of salsa and merengue tunes that rise up from two record shops on her Moore Street block

"They play music out on the sidewalk ... the stores are so close to each other that I have to hear both at the same time," Esser, 31, lamented about the beats pulsing outside San German Records and Johnny Albino Music Center. "It's seven days a week, eight hours a day."

Esser — who just moved to the street last May — has placed constant 311 calls and spoke up at a Williamsburg Community Board 1 meeting this month with her complaint.

"It's a violation," she claimed of the sounds. "I'd be happy if they would just turn it down to a reasonable level."

She got destroyed in the comments section on here...

:why:

All the music blasting on the block is one of the things that makes certain areas of Brooklyn and Uptown have character and color to them.

White people really just want to turn every single thing into a bland cesspool and they'll have their way :snoop:

A bloody eclipse night struck 10 shooting victims in New York.

A bloody 10-hour shooting spree left five people dead and another five wounded across the city in a violent start to the weekend, cops said.

All of the killers — including one with a mouthful of gold teeth — remained on the streets as police reported no arrests in the eight incidents of gunfire that started and ended in the Bronx.

The carnage began at about 6 p.m. Friday when a gunman opened fire on Tyrek Singleton, 28, and a friend outside the Adams Houses on Tinton Ave. in the Bronx.
