Does anyone own a multi family house and rent out one of the apartments? What area? How much a month? Is it worth it?

My mom owns a home in Harlem near King Projects, the apartment upstairs is about 2k(2BR; washer/dryer). If you want a basic no upgrades 1 bedroom, you'll prob be paying 1300+. It sounds like you're just starting to get money, I'd advise you to just live somewhere like Eastern Queens for the cheap or at home. Stack your money up and get some property in Southern or Mid-Western cities.

A/C line is pretty fast and reliable from what I remember but A/C also seemed to have the highest ratio of chicken bone styrofoam platter music out of the cell phone w/no headphones nikkas. Along with the 8 in the morning evangelists. 2/3/4/5 is so much better. Especially when you factor in the Crown Heights shuttle :noah:

Its over though. Once 1 bedrooms start hitting 2000 its over for the neighborhood. ENY is the final frontier.

You've just reminded me of why I need to invest in a good pair of in-ear headphones. Those types aren't usually on the 2/3/4/5 (at least when I'm riding), but the bums that be on the 2/4 early in the morning probably even things out.

Dog there is no way the 2/3/4/5 is better than the damn A train :beli:

That 4 train in the morning going to school was fukking NUTS. We just started splitting cabs after a while...fukk THAT

In terms of crowding? Meh, it's a wash. Good luck getting a seat on the A at Broadway Junction during rush hours. The 4 is crazy, but if you're traveling in Brooklyn, you can always just take the 3. If you're going to Manhattan, you can take the 5 (during weekdays). The only alternative to the A is the C, which we've already established is the weak kid that constantly gets its lunch taken by the bigger kids (i.e. the A, B, and especially the E trains)

would you rather live among a bunch of poor violent negroes (no 'cism) or elitist, hipster CACs? If you want to be safe, we all know the answer. Yeah, I'd rather Harlem be gentrified by nice professional black people, but there aren't enough of us to do that.

:boss:

hopefully they do the same for Chicago and Detroit

What's the fukin deal with the Q train?..every goddamn morning it gets stuck going to manhattan, between 7th ave to atlantic...then atlantic to dekalb. I want some answers doggy. :stopitslime:
from prospect park to atlantic ave, the B and Q share the same track so when you're idle, it might be because of a B directly in front of you. and at dekalb..there are a lot of timers that slow down the train.[i don't know why]:yeshrug:

you've never rode the E at night time..it's called hotel echo because of the bums on there. they're smart enough to not ride during rush hours, but once that's done:dead: at the smell.
and broadway junction, you'd have a better time grabbing a seat if y'all would just spread out instead of crowding at the back [A and J]. use common sense:leostare:

:ohhh:

It's been a few years since I've regularly rode the E, so I'd completely forgotten that it's a favorite for the bums, and I did used to ride it fairly late at that. There's nothing like seeing a dude having a whole car to himself because of his smell :scusthov:

I always try to move up as far as possible at Broadway Junction (I hate that everyone crowds at the back of the platform). But sometimes, shytty timing means the train's coming in as I come through the turnstyle :manny:

And even further up the train, it's still standing room only, at least during the morning rush.

Y'all dudes are missing out on the good life on the Q line. :blessed:

Rarely see bums on it and rarely any altercations. Also be some nice women on there.

Which reminds me, I think Queens has the best looking women in the city. A nice mixture.

Last year it was awful, it was so bad that when i went clubbing and was going at 5:00 am, i got off and took a cab home, last summer i took a cab almost every time i went, sometimes it was ok if i got a nice driver who went right to my place, i remember getting in a cab on 17th and 10th avenue and waking up right in front of my place for 26:00 bucks which was perfect, then sometimes it went 36 or more and i stopped taking a cab, but this year, they cracked down on the bums on that train, barely any on there now.
