This poor girl did not know she was being held captive in the first place, cuz she was too young. There is nothing psychologically wrong with her (at least there wasn't the moment before she found out the truth), she is just in a fukked up situation, but she's acting as any sane person would act in that situation.

The "mother" is a captor amd the captee aka "daughter" is fully aware of that now and still defends the mom because she has a bond with her captor
