while I agree its surprising the Hawks gave up on Reddish and the trade doesnt look great on paper, they also knew they werent going to pay him this offseason, better to get something (a 1st) now rather than letting him walk this summer for nothing

its arguable that the Hornets 1st could be a more valuable trade asset right now than Reddish, considering the team trading for him will have to pay him a somewhat sizable contract this summer based purely on potential

Hawks are about to try and pull off a bigger move for sure with packaging picks with guys like Collins, Huerter, Bodgan, Gallo (whos basically just salary filler at this point)

Looking back at it we should of took the best deal available during the draft when his value was the highest.

I can understand playing it out and seeing what he would do for us this season as well. I can tell they really wanted this Cam thing to work but alas here we are.

Yeah I’m not mad that we traded Cam but I’m mad about what we got in return and that we traded with a “rival”.

If this was really the best the GM could get then that should tell you what his value around the league was. Like I’ve said before the ECF run did more harm than good. The players were clearly feeling the shyt outta themselves and it changed the team’s timeline.

Tomorrow will be telling if anyone sits out. You can assume that person is about to be shipped out.

Not upset at them trading Cam per se, it’s just that this deal could be had from now till like December. Something else has to be in the works

Of course the ATL
Bro literally reached for the moon this one as usual. It's a shyt trade and will go down in history as a shyt trade

ESPN gave it a B- for the Hawks, a B for NYK. This narrative that it was trash is from Cam fan boys convinced he was the 2nd coming. And as usual you’re being overly emotional. Cam’s not that good, NBA GMs don’t make bad trades for the sake of making bad trades breh
