That's why everybody gotta chill until they see the end result of the trade. There's a reason the Hawks got that #1 pick from the Knicks. Another move is in the pipeline.
Someone like Ben would change this franchise instantly just from a defensive perspective alone. Trae has shown he's good enough to carry an offense by himself.

Would win a ton of games and the Hawks instantly become one of the best defensive units in the league and the Hawks finally get a legit secondary playmaker in Ben (which is what they hoped Cam would be). Trae would be a real MVP candidate with this unit IMO.
I would package John, Bogi/Gallo, and picks for Ben if I were the Hawks.

He’s basically in his second full season. Y’all want to sit here and pretend he never showed flashes? Dude has shown real flashes in the playoffs and in the regular season. He’s not consistent but he’s young, injured, and his role has literally never been consistent. Went from a coach who hated his guts to a coach who doesn’t want to develop young players anymore.And still have the same weaknesses...no defense no play creation no rebounding..and I doubt thibs is just gonna give him the keys

No one’s acting like he was the second coming but we definitely gave up too early. Very disappointing. Honestly you can tell he packed it up once he realized the coaches were “done with developing players”. We could’ve at least moved him when the price was highest instead of when the wheels started to fall off. Since when is selling low good business?
That's a dream breh I hope it comes true..freeing up Gallo contract next year add some proper role players..maybe rife and jalen develop with OO making that transition alot easier.. I can see shlenk filling the roster with as many 2ways as possible

If we don't make any more moves you have a valid point..Ive gotten every indication that we're about to reshape our roster and freeing cam up was the easiest choice to make.
He's shown flashes sure but that's some bare minimum shyt..every team got 2 cam reddishes if we woulda flipped him for bane/brooks/okoro/pj Washington/deni we immediately get better..he just ain't got it..that's just me looking at it.
