Fights aren't bad but I think that there isn't much...IDK...strategy(??) going into 85% of the fights. Just feels like "this is my quirk. im gonna make it overpower yours"

That's cool a couple times but, I see a lot of fights follow just that mold.

NOT TRUE... midoriya constantly employs strategies while fighting everyone he has come up against... :dahell: most of the time when it's someone else they don't have to walk you through what they are thinking they are not the main character...:what: What are you talking about, did you even watch the fight vs stain??? they couldn't overpower that guy they had to outthink him...

Huge One Piece fan but if MHA is the organic growth of Izuku from childhood nobody at the same pace it has been going, it will be the GOAT no doubt. Dude aint even the best in his class yet so I dont expect him to throw down any classics (The Yakuza arc was nice) for right now but I imagine a post UA Deku is going to get into some serious brawls
If this shyt even makes it that long

It’s already 3 seasons in with like 4/5 memorable fights and UA Decku still somewhat bytchmade (despite being excited to see him finally try to boss up)

Now he’s using his “legs” but what happens when those begin to fukk up like his hands?

SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
Yall tripping this is the first new shonen in YEARS that had me talking to my tv like yea niukka fukk him up :myman::ooh:

Like it's been said every character has their human moments

Like when bakugo crazy ass wanted to name himself lord hell explosion :deadrose:

Then he got kidnapped and the villains tried to turn him out but my man was like :wtf::demonic: ima a hero

Stains motivation starting the mothafukking ISIS of villains :whew:

Todorokis relationship with his father after we learned that he was basically bred to be a monster fighter rather than conceived out of love :to: and his relationship with his mom :mjcry:

Even the 1-B class members are interesting :ehh:

That's not the standard though.

What strategy was there in All Might vs All for One? Todoroki vs Deku? Deku vs Muscle Buddy in the Forest? I watched all this shyt and two or three fights out of all they've shown thus far doesn't prove that there's tons of strategy.

The show really lies more on the investment in the characters than the action, and that's not a bad thing, because the show really makes it worth investing in characters emotionally. The downside tho is that the fights aren't as great to write home about. Been reading the manga and the fights do get better, but right now? The fights aren't where the focus is. They make the fights simple as hell. The only time we see outside the box thinking in a fight is when the objective is something other than "beat this guy down." I love this show not because the action is great but because the investment, build and payoffs far exceed everything else going on.

:manny: I finished the manga, and we see constantly in midoriya's head when he's fighting maybe they don't explain it all in the anime??? IDK... I don't see how it''s a problem where the audience needs to have their hands held during the fight... :heh: I can live with fighting just to fight without the explanations... :ld: There's one scene I loved which was the bakugo rescue and he's outlining the plan and the anime is showing us what happened in real time, flawless...

A constant joke is him muttering to himself while writing and talking about a person's quirks, trying to figure out strengths and weaknesses. :dwillhuh:

The WHOLE Tournment arc had nothing but folks trying to strategies to win their fights.

Are we watching a different anime :mjlol:

Why folks want this to be a generic show :russ:

"Oh he flipped the tables on him with the one move :ohhh:"

"I mean, it took six episodes to get there but :whew:"

Not saying I want it to be a generic show, I just said the fights not all that. Fortunately, the show is still top tier. I just like better action is all.

It's not about having hands held it's about having an entertaining fight sequence. The show just isn't focused on that, which isn't a bad thing, I just don't know why nikkas defending fight scenes in a show that's clearly not about fight scenes. :yeshrug:

I wanna believe theyre going to go all in on season 4 because that Yakuza arc was piff when it got rolling. Not sure if you follow the manga but I wouldnt say Deku bosses up till after that Yakuza arc when he faces Gentle. If you only follow the anime, give season 4 a solid shot because theres great fights all around. Pipboy steals the show, and his quirk is cool as hell

And honestly, Food Wars > MHA at the moment

Funnier, lead isn’t a bytch, strategy, side characters have their own arcs that you actually care about, etc.

MHA could be much better if there were actual action often. Food wars had battles damn near every episode,

I don’t follow any mangas... don’t have time

Season 4 seems it will get extremely better but we’ll see.
