:mjlol: no its not. Its generic with great animation and general shonen steretypes. Lets enjoy it for what it is, a quality show on top right now :manny:

Cant claim shyt as the GOAT if its still this early on. Stain >>>> all other villains on the show, name a rapper that he aint influence :wow:

Huge One Piece fan but if MHA is the organic growth of Izuku from childhood nobody at the same pace it has been going, it will be the GOAT no doubt. Dude aint even the best in his class yet so I dont expect him to throw down any classics (The Yakuza arc was nice) for right now but I imagine a post UA Deku is going to get into some serious brawls

I read the manga, dropped it after the Yakuza Arc. OP right it's dull, at this point in other mangas( Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Toriko, HxH etc) we had classic moments already, and I've yet to see a truly classic MHA moment.

You weren't impressed with the asswhooping Lumillion unleashed that arc? :ohhh:

That was my single favorite moment in the entire Manga so far. Breh was just :banderas:

The animation especially on Deku's hair is dope. The green lightning as he powers up and attacks is incredible and the ability to make other characters feel equally as important is what puts this anime in the top tier. My favorite character is the half hot, half cold dude. That's the illest powerset and he should be overpowering everyone. My only quarrel is that they don't put a lot of emphasis on the villains. Hopefully we get more on that decay dude with all the hands.

Yeah breh:manny:, not that it's wack or anything, I just don't think it resonates that strongly, for example compare any moment/fight in MHA to Lee v. Gaara in Naruto or Galand v. Escanor in Seven Deadly Sins.

Note: I'm keeping my arguments strictly on the manga.

MHA is good but it follow the most basic tropes.

Anybody calling this the GOAT anime/shounen needs to watch more anime :mjlol:

The fights are basic as fukk. They have a lot of emotion but they boil down to who tries harder

This is just the naruto/dbz of this generation. It's good but we have to see how it ends up. Bleach started amazing and look where it ended up

Strip that shyt down.

Keep It Simple Stupid.

Some try too hard to be so over the top or too clever or too different and it just falls short.

We got enough "lets throw everything plus the kitchen sink at it" shyt out there. Its cool to have something thats "meat and potatoes":ld:

The fact that the anime makes you feel for ALL the characters will make it GOAT status.

You can relate to all of them in some respects.

When Uraraka lost against Bakugo, that whole fight you learned ALOT about both characters. That Bakugo showed her nothing but respect and wasn't so bloodthirsty that he was going to kick her while she was down. He was ready for that round two doe :lupe:

Uraraka wants to be as strong as everyone else and really admires Deku for his perseverance. She was so determined to win she was crawling on the ground willing to keep going :wow:

Every fight so far has had far reaching purposes :wow:

When she called her parents feeling ashamed of losing, they were just like "We were proud just to see you on TV :krs:"

shyt had me in tears. That was a very human moment.

Deku getting upgrades simply by changing his
perspective :wow:

Man, I could go on about what this anime does right.

It does things differently and I like it for that. Keep your Narutos and Bleaches :flabbynsick:

EDIT: Thinking about it, it isn't trying to be a decent Shonen, its trying to be a classic:wow:

Fights aren't bad but I think that there isn't much...IDK...strategy(??) going into 85% of the fights. Just feels like "this is my quirk. im gonna make it overpower yours"

That's cool a couple times but, I see a lot of fights follow just that mold.
