These things have always been going on. Either you were involved or you weren't and it seems like most who weren't had their heads in the sand or were isolated well.
Tell her parents to move her out of the hood and for to join a youth church group or camp or something. 7th grade all I cared about was comics cartoons sports and wrestling I didn't even go through puberty yet.

see the fact that she's telling you means she's already thinking about doing that shyt and was looking for someone to convince her not to. yet like you said, it seems like your words didn't get through. also, the way you describe her, she's probably the type that really cares about what her peers and schoolmates think of her. if you,re not careful, she WILL get smutted by the "cool boys" from the b-ball/football teams.
my advice..
short-term: try to encourage her to drop her current crew and find a different crew of people that are also into studying and shyt like that. she will want to fit in and conform to that group.
longterm: help her find positive female mentors that are slightly older than her. ideally someone who's very secure within their own skin, thinks for themselves, is attractive, etc. she will want to emulate those positive traits and hopefully, the "thinks for themselves" part will influence her.
but like i said, i think she's already on her way (and that's if she hasn't done some of that stuff already). she's probably describing all of what her worst friends do because then she can compare herself to them like "yeah, all my friends sleep around, smoke, drink and skip class. i only gave head to two boys so i'm not as bad as them..."

Since I barely get to visit my god parents, I usually skype with my god sister once she gets home from school once a week.
She is in the 7th grade btw.
She told me how she feels like a loser and a lame since she isnt into having sex, smoking weed, doing drugs, getting wasted at parties, dont have a boyfriend and cutting class.
I was disgusted as shyt yo. It took me an entire hour to explain to my god sister how horrible and bad those things are.
It also dawned on me that this is the society these children live in huh? That doing drugs, fukking and getting wasted at a young age is the norm now?

Don't know if it's been said but you should take her out with your friends and show her you can get attention and have a good time without all the negatives she listed. That's what I would do...

my head wasn't in the sand at all...I knew people sexin in 6th grade and females preg in the 7th..but that shyt wasn't the "norm"...and u aint gonna tell me it was..of course it was goin on..but it's the norm right now...people in general are faster than before...so what makes u think that don't apply to the youngins?..fukkin WAY more women are willing to be strippers than EVER before..they got an outlet right now...they makin money..gettin famous..and more women are less embarrassed to do it..morals are changin...marriage is declining..people's desire to marry is declining...everything is becoming a game...turning into reality shows and turning profitable..which in turn puts less value on it...so u dont sit here and act like shyt isnt goin on at a much faster rate...kids in general are even developing way faster...
