My abs have disappeared recently. For some fukked reason I couldn't train for over a month and a half, but I was doing a lot of Cardio and went down 2 two meals a day.... Guess what, that shyt wasn't enough... I now have to go back to my regular gym regiment and my last meal of the day will consist of boiled vegetables.
Again the Cardio I was doing for that month and a half was very intense. Yet not enough to weigh what I weigh and look how I look.
So if you can specify your height and your weight and post a few pics, then I can see what merit this 3-5 hours a week theory has.

But here is me at 190 6’ - I used to train 3-5x a week on average always 45-1hr workouts. It’s not that hard if you’re purposeful and know what you’re doing. I don’t even have good genetics. I didn’t take any protein either just ate at around 2000-1900 cals a day.
It can be done pretty easily if you’re consistent.
