id start off getting a good base with low intensity, jogging/elliptical type shyt
then progress to interval runs(pyramid scheme with sprint distances 20 > 40 > 60 > 40 > 20 etc) by the time you do that youll have above average VO2 guaranteed
Like the previous poster stated, low intensity jogging or some other exercise. I'd say about 30 minutes per run three to four days a week. Slip in a high intensity workout like stadium steps or some sprints now and then may help also
I hate cardio and not good at it either. I suggest do something fun such as bball, tennis to get your mind off it. Running on a treadmill is pure torture for me.

This is my problem. I fukking hate running but I need to get in shape. I swear I can't think about it while I'm doing it or I'm gassed the next minute. I could play basketball and enjoy it but I'm not getting nearly the workout
Running murders my knees, can't do it. I either swim or hop on the elliptical for my cardio. I hate it and wish I didn't have to do it, but the heart benefits can't be denied.
