Because of how they did Kofi?

That wasn't the reason, but it definitely didn't make me want to go back to watching full-time. In 2018, I remember being constantly frustrated with WWE and complaining about it. That was the same year @TheGreatShowtime made his classic thread about everything wrong with the company. I started thinking to myself that I can't take it anymore. After WrestleMania 35, I needed some time off from watching.

When Charlotte beat Asuka for the SD women's title, just so the main event at WrestleMania would be more "important," I lost it. I knew I didn't have a lot of time left watching every week. I stayed through WrestleMania, and as the weeks went by, I stopped caring. I was finally doing what I said I was going to do. I stopped watching RAW, stopped watching SmackDown (but I would tune into the rare segment that caught my eye). I didn't even bother watching Money in the Bank. I still kept up with the product to an extent through TSC, but I wasn't tuning in anymore.

When I found out SmackDown was coming to FOX, I wanted to watch the premiere episode. Especially since Kofi was facing Brock. Combine that with AEW and NXT coming to TV, and it felt like a brand new era of wrestling. I saw the Kofi match, then I was like :unimpressed: because I realized nothing was going to change. Had it not been for COVID, I was going to skip WrestleMania for the first time ever. I had been watching live every year since 2014 (and had tried to see as much as I could since 2011), but I wasn't going to sit there and watch eight hours of bullshyt again.

I'm watching WrestleMania this weekend, but that's only because it's two nights, which means I can keep the tradition going. Since 2019, I've only seen one PPV (WrestleMania 36). I literally haven't tuned into RAW in two years, and I don't care to watch SmackDown either. Highlights are fine. :manny:

I can't imagine getting through to 2018 and then decided you know what I don't think I can watch this shyt anymore. I can't imagine anyone who made it TO the Guest Host era, let alone through it. And then kept going for years after that. On a week to week basis, WWE has being miserable to watch for the most part since 2004/2005. And very often during and before those years as well.

I dunno breh Sasha alone make SD worth watching, at least for her segments :whew:

That boring ass Drew Mac push last year made me tune out of Raw tho :unimpressed:

Yeah that seems about right. I might put Macho as the MVP in 1985-1986 as well.

2011- Christian or Randy Orton
2012 - Daniel Bryan
2013 - Daniel Bryan
2014- Dean Ambrose (I guess)
2015- Seth Rollins (I guess)
2016- AJ Styles
2017 - Braun Strowman
2018 - Daniel Bryan (With Mustafa Ali as runner up ut he was only on 205 so)
2019 - Kofi Kingston
2020 - ?

2015 gotta be Sasha Banks.

2020 my guess would be Roman, though I know people loved the Hurt Business but I don't watch RAW :yeshrug:

14' and 17' are a complete blur to me :dead: is 17' when Reigns made Braun a star with all those hoss battles?

yea.

i dont see how people sat thru worse eras, and wait until now to throw in the towel.

i called it quits around when the guest host era started, and didnt become a consisten viewer again until 2018. and even with that i mostly just watch the highlights, unless its NXT or a PPV.

Guest host era was abysmal and it was some of the easiest shows to miss.
