Freddy has to kill you in a "Dream". You can sleep without dreaming. In "Freddy vs Jason" the people were sleep but he couldn't get them cause they weren't dreaming. Take drugs, drink until you black out, go into a coma. You have to fear him & have a dream.

Freddy can manipulate the real world, he's just not as powerful. Candyman is more strategic, and powerful with the brute strength, but Freddy is just craftier. Candyman's advantage may be his ability to become intangible (he does have standard ghost powers), so that will affect Freddy being able to hit him, but he also has a mind that Freddy can control.

I think at their height of powers, neutral ground, Freddy ultimately wins. Candyman will win the physical battle, but Freddy one ups him after you think it's over.

I remember being like 7 and doing the candyman and bloody Mary thing in the mirror in the same night. Me and my cousins got charged up watching the Power Rangers Movie. An hour of doing karate kicks in the living room had us staring at the bathroom mirror like
