Damn the LAPD was like fukk them nikkas. We won the suit them nikkas is dead we aint wasting anymore man power on these thugs.
I don't know how old are posters here but I remember vividly how this whole shyt was covered by cacs (media and police): The general consensus was "good riddance" (even on MTV, not just the news stations).
Tupac wasn't this icon that he is today back then. He was just trouble, that's how the media always presented him (a lot of black folks resented him too, as he was always seen as out of control). Every time I turned on the TV and saw his face, my first reaction would be "uh oh, what has he done now?" MTV always introduced him as "controversial rapper Tupac Shakur..." So when he died the news coverage was extremely negative, borderline gloating.
Biggie's death was icing on the cake, especially for cacs who couldn't resist connecting the murders of "two dumb thugs."

Amazingly, Tupac's posthumous image underwent the most drastic transformation of any artist I can recall... Funny how nikkas become safer to embrace after death (see MLK, Malcolm)

Snoop: So I’m at Warren G’s house and my pager starts blowing up talking bout turn on the news. We turn on the news see yellow tape and Suge’s [BMW], we hear the words so I call Suge like, “What up y’all alright?” He like, “Yeah I got shot in the head, Pac moving he alright.” So I hop in the car me my Uncle, Marcus, and Kenny we rolled down to Suge’s house in my Hummer. When we get there everybody all sad looking, so they let us slip in the back room. But the way [Suge] actin he ain’t actin like a nikka that just got shot. He got a cigar in his mouth he like, “Yeah Doggy Dogg that nikka Pac crazy man when that mutha fukka start shooting he said jump in the back seat and and try to hop over the seat and I’m pulling him down so he wouldn’t get shot.” So I’m listening to [Suge] talk right and his whole attitude just ain’t like a nikka that’s supposed to be hurt right now, he’s more happy and s**t and I’m just like cool aight. So me and my uncle we looking at each other like, “Damn that s**t don’t seem right.” So the next day we go to the hospital and Pac ain’t movin or nothing. His mama [Afeni Shakur] in there, Jesse Jackson in there. His mama grabbed me because I just break down. I’m just crying, I think I threw up, I fainted, all kinda s**t! That s**t was crazy for me because that was my nikka, and for it to end all over some crazy shyt that was crazy.

shyt had me believing Suge set the whole shyt up

I don't know if Snoop was just buying into all the theories too,or if he was desperate to dirty up Suges name....but its hard to believe he didn't know what happened for real as he tried to put suspicion on Suge....plus in retrospect as somebody who hung around gangbangers, its weird Snoop was so suspicious of a nikka talking casually about getting shot at,or another nikka being shot....Hard to believe Snoop has never seen sumbody who's apart of that life ,have that same non chalant reaction Suge had, whether they were the victim or the killer....Gang bangers seem to do nothing but talk casually about violence.....Yet Snoop is so shocked and taken aback:leon:

Maybe he was mentally so far removed from it,he started to see things differently:manny:

But Suge did say Pac was responsive and cracking jokes, based on the fact the cop on the scene said Pac told him "fukk you" as he was shot,I will say its believable....He probably fully expected Pac to recover.

If im not mistaken only suge looked into the car and saw the faces..

Yea but everbody pretty much saw Lane's face that night in the casino. If that same guy with a few other dudes were walking past the scene, wouldnt that have been a issue?

That is interesting:heh:....Also maybe gives insight as to why Snoop didn't want to get involved with the Badboy vs Deathrow shyt,he knew crip nikkas was getting paid off Badboy.....Even after Biggie got his trailer shot up talking shyt,Snoop didn't want to get involved, maybe it would've been considered fukkin with the crip homies money or something.

All those crips on Deathrow its likely Suge and Pac would've known about the hit as well if there was one.

I actually hate to agree with @kingofnyc:snoop:..But theres only so much you can find credible when it comes to info that comes by way of snitching, when somebody is fighting for they life....Especially when the person telling knows what you wanna hear, and detective Kading was asking a lot of leading questions:comeon:

The 1million dollar part sounds kindve funny, first Keefe says "we wanted a million" then he says Puffy randomly came up with a million dollar price tag, also first Keefe says the hit was for "either one" but then that turns into both somehow....Then he says he doesn't even collect:patrice:.

I do believe Puff paid for something, but why even bother to do a 5K bounty on chains if you willing to put a million dollar hit on nikkas?

the Pac line "Puffy getting robbed like a bytch,to hide the fact he did some shyt he shouldna did" always made me wonder was Pac talkin bout the NY shyt still?or was he talking about Puffy getting extorted by crips to hide this chain bounty,or discussion of a hit in front of a room full of people:ohhh:

Also was Orlando the shooter or the Dre dude he leaned over?its a lot easier to put all the blame on a dead man who cant be prosecuted if you don't really wanna snitch on your homie....Cant be completely sure if the people responsible have been dealt with by law or fate or w/e....It was a bad situation,a lot of young, rich, powerful black males caught up in a lot of bullshyt that really shouldn't have a place in the business side of the rap game but almost always has:mjcry:.

Suge actually came outta this looking better, just on the fact at least people hopefully wont think he killed Pac AND Biggie, and lowkey Puffy might've been the one who was supposed to get it that night if he hadn't ran that light....Puff is just one lucky nikka, people can stop talking about how Suge is the idiot who threw it all away now....Puffy just as easily could've been in jail 2 decades ago and lost everything.

Another great hiphop movie to end off the summer:wow:

Yeah, listen to Warren G's most recent interview that was posted on here like 3 weeks ago. Good ass interview. He said Snoop had just bought an all white bently and came over his crib to watch the fight. They both had some bytches they had been trying to smash since high school. Snoop instantly knew what happened because he had some death row security walkie talkie and the signal was strong enough to where he could hear all of the chaos when they got hit up.

BADBOY wasnt "paying " crips for security.. perse
What puff did was give them 50 or so free tickets and they where there... it was sort of an unoffical unpaid paid security..
