Anytime somebody wants to do something showing the harsh realities of urban life, they add a presidents last name to the word heights. Washington Heights, Jackson Heights, Lincoln Heights.
any teenager to 25-ish person in NJ can identify with Jersey Shore
and its national appeal is helped by the fact that the cast is white (Italian-Americans aren't considered unusual or foreign)
now this show is based on one NY neighborhood that isn't relevant past the Bronx and Harlem
and latinos don't really fokk with other types of latinos like that
i don't see this lasting more than a season
I believe that MTV literally owns their rights to anything they do in the future... even if they wanted to do a movie based on their lives, mtv would be in their pockets...

not necessarily true about owning your life.

No matter how you spin it, the person is an idiot for turning it down.
So instead of MTV owning the rights to a movie that there is almost no chance of being made the person decides to keep doing nothing?
Fact of the matter is the person probably wasnt chosen. If they took the time to send in one of those absurd audition tapes to get on the show they wouldnt have been turned away due to MTV making money off of them when they in turn would also be seeing more money than they are now also.
