The most seminal albums in ATL hip hop.

No debate. And to qualify you have to actually BE FROM ATL,GEORGIA. And even without that, there are no other albums important to the ATL scene than these four.
Can’t argue AGAINST any of them but there is certainly an argument FOR Thug Motivation 101.

If Jeezy don’t count I’d have to add another TI or Kast album

Word Of Mouf one of my personal favorites but I’m not sure if I’d call it ATL Rushmore. But if only one album per artist WOM would be my 4th

Nah. Jeezy sucks. How are you doing today though?
ok you can have prerequisites for saying somebody gotta be from Atlanta but if you say Jeezy suck breh wtf …. :gucci:You one of them dudes who think yo opinion should be everybody else opinion. Look bro. Music is subjective. This is not how most people feel . The majority of people in Atlanta were reciting Jeezy lyrics watching that versus and knew that shyt word for word while you was doing whatever the fukk you was doing saying it was trash:mjlol:Jeezy might not be my favorite artist… but in no way was 103 anywhere close to trash… Reptile

DS2 was amazing but it’s it really a Mount Rushmore type album to y’all?
Very few new school rappers and old school rappers would have it up there. Ask the average Atlanta hip-hop fan and it's not upthere.

Miss with this dumbass shyt. Yall speak objectively until somebody say something you dont like then draw this "music is subjective" card I hate you nikkas. Stop being passive aggressive and stand on what you believe nikka. Jeezy is trash. He flow is basic and his lyrics are rudimentary. Dude BEEN ass.

Don’t know Atlanta like that but for me and what I continue to play and the last 2 Luda and Jeezy I don’t know if Atlanta folks claim them nikkas like a TI, future and Gucci

But if I had to do only 1 album per artist:

Speakerboxx/Love Below
Flockaveli
DS2
Soul food
Flockaveli definitely deserves flowers. The formula of Lex Luger's production on there was the crux of ATL Trap and rap in general since it came out

Trap music used to be rap about life in the trap selling. After that album, it became instrumental based. Trap music went from that to rap with 808s and hi hats. There's people who even call Travis Scott music Trap now
:mindblown: :mjlol:

That Lex Luger sound was so influential it might have to be the 5th face

I honestly think Barter 6 or Pluto make more sense than DS2. My personal list would have The State vs Radric Davis but most didn’t like that album as much as I did and being as though I was in Atlanta every summer around that time. Also Best Thang Smokin would be close for me.
DS2 had too many hits and classics on it. A culmination of his mixtape greatness and run he was on

And Barter 6 wasn't nearly as influential. Thug was influenced by Future, Wayne, and Lil B. All 3 of them fathered so many rappers that have been out since a decade ago

Damn I forgot about my nikka Lil Jon smh.
Can’t forget how Lil Jon was doing the very most for ATL!!!

I mean since I already put ATLiens I wasn’t gonna put Aquemini & Stankonia but truth be told you could put all 3 of those Kast albums alongside Soul Food for a true top 4 if we’re being honest :hubie:Outkast first album too make it top 5:russ:
