I been putting out fires all day long.

For current Lumia owners don't be choked.

Microsoft hasn't announced any new OS enhancements yet remember how much they improved the People Hub, Messaging, Camera etc from 7 to 7.5

Expect the same from 7.5 to 8 your going to get all of that, new apps (Draw Something) plus the new start screen.

only going to get better. A lot of people prefer the look of an app on Metro UI vs IOS and Android more clean and straight to the point.

Lol. It can only get better cuz its trash. Do u realize how long it took Android to catch ios apps?

What's trash Metro UI VS IOS? I don't know about that man..

Android hasn't caught up to iOS and I don't think its going to..

But I am going to say it right here... Done right Windows Marketplace will beat iOS.

You think I'm crazy right lets see you have Windows Phone, Windows Tablets, Windows PC, Windows Laptop.

Right now MS has 1.4 billion Windows Users 44 million Xbox users that's a huge market once Windows 8 starts rolling you have a variety of devices needing apps. Apple only has iOS devices OSX cant run IOS apps yet.

:dwillhuh:

That ship done sailed breh... There's only room for 2 major mobile OS, once android and iOS get done eating, the rest get the left overs. RIM dropped the ball and MS got there too late.

Windows 8 can take out Android. Its slowly starting to do so look at Amazons top rated phones.

Satisfaction is there sales will follow and remember your talking about Microsoft here

If you look at a companies back end most services are powered by Microsoft and the front end is usually a Windows PC and a iPhone.

Soon its going to be Windows PC and Windows Phone/iPhone

Android is cool and all right place and right time but Microsoft is the biggest SW maker in the world they have 1.4 billion people using Windows PC 44 million people using Xbox's why cant they have millions of people using Windows Phone?

Android is doing ~1,000,000 activations per day. I will admit thats it's a colossal mess though, and google has totally lost control of the monster that it has become, but WP8 ain't catching neither iOS nor Android. A distant 3rd place at best. The Windows 8/Phone unification sounds nice on paper and it does make sense in theory, but it's not what sells smartphones.

There success depends on what market segment they go for. If they go for the low to mid market, they can make a serious run. If they go for the high-end market, Apple and Android/Samsung will crush them.

WP8 will, at minimum, have a place in the Enterprise/Corporate Market. When it comes out it will basically close the coffin on RIM.

All the right apps are already approved and they have a coherent Marketplace and OS, something that Android cannot say.

Microsoft has woke up. Windows 8 Desktop OS is piff, Windows Phone 7 AND 8 are piff, and Surface?

It looks like I might be all Microsoft next year.
