Idk why people are saying they can't do her stretchy stuff because it's on a streaming service, yet this character is supposed to be Cap Marvel's sidekick in the movies. So if they introduced her first in Cap Marvel 2, she would have her stretchy powers?
They're not doing her stretchy powers because that will draw too many parallels to Fantastic Four which they plan on doing at some point.

I mean It works, especially when the actor has decent comedic timing on their own. but it's still too many class clowns in the MCU. not enough badassery (characters like blade and daredevil coming back soon though) We got plenty of Brendon Frazier, time for some Bruce Willis, some Arnold & Stallone.
meh, i'm cool with everyone being on the comedy spectrum tbh. make the villains the "badasses." i find that type of character to be ultimately boring. half of the Eternals were pretty light on humor and that movie wasn't good. Icarus fukkin sucked as a main character. People hyping Angelina like she wasn't just a drone fighter. that character fukkin sucked.

all of the Captain America dudes are pretty serious. Sam drops some wiseass remarks, Steve had some "gee golly" humor to him, but they weren't comedic characters, imo.

I think they just want to save that for Reed Richards.

oh wow...well, it's an interesting "check the boxes" choice that can work out well for the show's popularity.

it gets the attention of all types of teens and pre-teens, get some Indian culture involved, in the tri-state area but not the typical NYC, some good effects, jokes and cameos....this can work really well.

i'll be watching with my 13yo daughter. :yeshrug:

I get that people are frustrated with the powerset/power origin change, but it makes sense to me context considering:

Inhumans is probably the MCU's greatest failure, and part of a larger failure as a whole, with the previous era of Marvel Television. And with them establishing that time travel establishes aepart timelines in Endgame, I think they've made it clear that most of what happened in those productions will be considered a separate timeline.

This also means that Fantastic Four is probably a whole lot closer than people have been thinking. The only reason you switch up a character that has a pretty solid fanbase like this is of you're concerned about introducing multiple similar characters too close to each other.

I'll be nice and just say, "this isn't for me."

yeah I'm skipping this.
I was giving it a chance but the high school aspect is too much for me

Same here. I'm certain this will be enjoyable for those interested, but at least from what the trailer presents, this is going to lean heavy into the "life is hard for a teenager" aspect, and I'm good on that. If word gets out that this is a little different than expected, I'll check it out, but otherwise, I'll just check out whatever scene that sets her up for The Marvels, and keep it moving.

So they got the lightest Indian girl they could find and Kamala doesn't stretch anymore. :unimpressed:

The fukk is the point? Imagine making a show about Cyclops and you take away his laser vision. At this rate, they probably already have. :unimpressed:

Can't wait to see yall lie about this show like its lit :unimpressed:

yea, this is a kid's show, and the anticipation of MCU tie-ins just isn't there. I don't give a rat's ass if Carol Danvers shows up

i refuse to have any other opinions b/c this is about to become the new thing the biggest pieces of shyt on the internet complain about, and i want no association with them.

... well not true, the powers look corny (as they always have) and the girl's acting seems... i'm sure she's a good kid.

Say what you mean and mean what you say. This shyt looks wack dog
