There are people in real life that hate black people but would faint if MJ walked into their living room. It just is what it is. People hate mutants and the Avengers are accepted despite their being no discernable difference.

avengers are not "in your family". avengers are not endangering schools.

once again for the record prof X opened a school to separate x-yuths from normal people because schools are one of the main flashpoints.

another flashpoint is that mutants powers (in the comics) are more random and can be a danger to themselves and others.

and when mutants powers kick in they tend to be young and at school and they tend to not be able to control them.

even in our real world, if there were a bunch of humans that presented these risks to our children many people would want something done about it and they would become targets. society wouid want to know why it was happening. i know I would want to know and I would not want mutants attending the same school as any of my relatives.

avengers (comics and MCU so far) don't have these issues.

cyclops' optic blasts are 24/7 fully primed, ready to kill other kids if he made one mistake, got into one fight, fell asleep in class or even simply dropped his glasses.

that is how they separated avengers from the x-men in the comics.

you can conflate all you will but the MCU won't.

x-men without the homo-sapian vs homo-superior dynamic, without the civil rights dynamic, without the distrust dynamic, without the genetically based hate is not the x-men.

this is from x-men #1. their first mission.

No offense, but no shyt, the show is aimed at teenagers and kids bruh.
Maybe if you went in with the understanding that it's aimed at a younger audience you might've liked it for what it was. It wasn't the Sopranos, but I enjoyed it the same way I would a Pixar movie.
