Vera is what ruined the episode for me.:yeshrug:
Imagine having such an emotional revelation with a crazy meth head yelling at you, and then consoling you after. I thought they were about to kiss.:dame:

Vera was pimped out by his family in a country where sexual deviants are the standard. You could marry your cousin and no one would bat an eye. He understood Elliot’s pain, and judging from Vera’s stories with his personality, it messed him up bad. This episode plays with your emotions similar to Black Mirror “Shut Up and Dance”, not only with the switch but with one of the antagonist. The entire scene after the reveal was announced, I do think Vera was genuine with his comfort, and he knew it went too far but was needed. Elliot HAD to know, enough is enough. Krista deep down knew this. My opinion is not a definite but if anyone hated this episode, nothing is going to please you. I’m still thinking about the episode right now at work.

I’m not saying it was bad. It’s just........ who gives a fukk. We in the endgame now. Unless these rapes are about to drop a bomb on the whole series and change something major....... what the fukk was the point?

man I have faith so I won’t quit. And I won’t doubt he’ll make it mean SOMETHING. But it had better be big. Some big cog. Don’t tell me this whole mind fukk is the result of rape and that be the end of the explanations

Now if his third person is evil mr robot, then let’s go. Rape robot, mr robot and Elliott. Or white rose ties into the rape and why shyt went down. Or white rose will bring back his dad but he don’t want him doing that

Just don’t make it like some shocking amazing reveal cause he said don’t touch me 5 times during 4 seasons. I need it to mean more or get the fukk outta here with a wasted 60 mins

I think what you're describing is the lack of Angela.

Something happened behind the scenes for her sudden death. Low pay? Because clearly she was written for this last part. They've invested lots of screen time for her and obviously she is one of a few ppl to get deep wit White Rose and have a face to face. She had the 2nd most screen time on the show.

She and Rami (elliot actor ) were dating for 2 years, then he goes to film Bohemian Rapsody and finds another girl . Then Sam and the writers decide at the very beginning of the season 4 production that she gets killed? But Portia says they decided together?

So I cant really hold this ending against Sam if it doesnt stick. That's tough, suddenly losing your female co lead like that

I can assure you I'm right. This is laughable. The acting is atrocious, the writing is absurd and the audience seems content to look for inconsequential Easter eggs over well written/acted stories.

This is absolute bozo shyt. There’s no way you can tell me the acting isn’t terrible. You will lose every bit of credibility defending the garbage dialogue Vera spit. The psychiatrist goes from being nearly raped/killed to gathering her bearings and coaxing a buried memory of molestation out of Elliot in a matter of minutes. Really?

even the facial expressions are bad in this. These are poor actors.

The youtube clip above shows the kid seated around a table with four chairs. I think that means there are FOUR personalities. The kid is one of them, plus Elliot, Mr. Robot, and the 3rd one we're waiting for.

It's possible one of the seats is for us - the audience, now - Elliot has referred to us as his imaginary friend since the beginning of Season 1. Mr. Robot - at least for the moment isn't around.

But - yeah - there's still "the other" personality we're yet to meet. Or - we've met them and didn't realize.

Seems like some folks who are saying why was Vera needed to get that reveal are forgetting that Krista had a restraining order against Elliott and he wasn’t one of her patients anymore. Unless someone other than Krista or Darlene knew, someone was going to have to forcibly intervene to get it out of Krista or Darlene, and chances are Elliott never would have believed it had it come from Darlene.

I might defer to @hex and he can probably explain better than me, but realism has never been a criterion for good fiction. Vera is a ridiculous character. he always has been. Elements of this show have bordered on creeping into supernatural or at east surreal territory since day 1.

There are totally ridiculous aspects to the show but nothing is incongruent with what we've always been presented with.

Is the show being a little self-indulgent in its final season? Yes. Is it dramatically departing from any major areas of style and substance than they've established so far? I would say no.

So it's fine if you think this episode is wack, but it's only sightly dialed up from most of what we've already seen.
I'm not arguing with someone that thinks Nas last good album was "Illmatic". :hubie:

I love character driven series and episodes and this last 1 was a fukking masterpiece of that kind of storytelling. It really is up there with Ozymandias and The Suitcase.

So I'm just trying to play devil's advocate here :whoa:

I think some people just want the final confrontation with White Rose to happen and also see it as an inevitability. So giving Elliot such a huge burden 3-4 episodes before he has that confrontation anyway is seen as a "did we really need THIS kind of twist?".

Now, given how Blessmail works, I honestly don't see the problem with just letting this one ride out and see what his final vision is, but I think that's what people aren't feeling about the big reveal :manny:

This season is the longest in the show's entire run (13 episodes) so I'm assuming he knew how much time this twist would need to sink in without derailing the over all plot.

We still got 6 episodes, the only way I'd think this would be a problem is if it was episode 12 out of the 13.

That was one of the worst episodes of an acclaimed series I’ve ever seen. Dogshyt from start to finish.

Elliot screaming out the window as Dominican Meth man consoles him with “bruh” after “bruh” was borderline slapstick comedy.
:mjlol:the damn forest episode 2 weeks ago with Elliot, Tyrell and Mr Robot walking was WAY worse...

What abilities do you need to stab someone that's not even aware you're in the room in the back?
In any other show I would call this a mega stretch but not on this one...not after Sam Blessedmail toyed with our brains for 4 season straight.

I know it still is a stretch but she had that picture of the D.A. barn and she killed Vera with one hit. Idk man, maybe this is my way of protecting myself in fear of more Sam trickery.

I never watch trailers, previews or any of that shyt.

But the only previews I didn't mind seeing was for Mad Men because they would never show shyt :lolbron:

They would just show like 2 second shots of characters saying:
"What?" "Hello" "Of course" and then just a shot of Draper looking hungover :mjlol:

:mjlol:

Any who...

Really enjoyed this episode. Extremely thankful for 13 episodes this season.

That's why I stopped watching:russ:

Be a quick cut of Don screaming at Peggy "I DON'T KNOW", I'd be like:whoo:then the episode comes on and it's him responding to what he wanted for lunch:mjlol:

I liked the episode but your posts in this thread hilarious.
"IM WITCHOO BRUH” :russ:

The whole episode is presented as a stage play you dummy :dead:

Really? What gave that away? The big red ACT 1-5 graphics? Must be for fans of 'Hamilton' or something cuz this ain't it at all.
