I don't understand people acting like this is just a minor diversion from the Dark Army stuff. It's probably the single most important episode in the entire series.

There was a meme a few years ago, what if "Breaking Bad" took place in Canada. Aka, there is no series because Walt has health care.

Which is funny but obviously not true, because Walt was given an out (via Gray Matter) in season 1 and still chose to continue down the same path. That episode probably defined the character better than any other moment in the series.

The same goes for this. Elliot started this whole vendetta to avenge his dead father. Now he finds out his father was a piece of shyt and this whole "war" was predicated on a lie. So....what the fukk? What happens next will define Elliot more than the last 3 seasons combined.

And cats are like "what's the point of this?" :dahell:

awful acting? check.

embarrassing writing? check.

cliche lightning as Elliot screams out a window? check.

what the fukk did you guys see that I missed that has you gassed on this abomination of an episode? and they bit the other slapstick dramedy with 'i am the gun' / 'i'm the one who knocks' line.

what a sad, sad state of affairs when cats are bigging up trash like this as if it's any more believable of better acted than a Son's of Anarchy episode. WE. ARE. DOOMED.
Get the hell out of this thread

I love character driven series and episodes and this last 1 was a fukking masterpiece of that kind of storytelling. It really is up there with Ozymandias and The Suitcase.

So I'm just trying to play devil's advocate here :whoa:

I think some people just want the final confrontation with White Rose to happen and also see it as an inevitability. So giving Elliot such a huge burden 3-4 episodes before he has that confrontation anyway is seen as a "did we really need THIS kind of twist?".

Now, given how Blessmail works, I honestly don't see the problem with just letting this one ride out and see what his final vision is, but I think that's what people aren't feeling about the big reveal :manny:
