This is what I'm saying. Esmail's taken way to much care writing the past four seasons to introduce Chekhov's gun in the last act and not use it.

i swear elliot said that he knew vera was back in town this episode and asked why he didn't come for him sooner and vera said he had to prepare for their sit down or something.

He knew Vera was back because Darlene reminded him in episode 2.

Yeah, I agree with you. This pedophile victim angle is extraneous, I'm not feeling it. But it isn't a deal breaker or anything but I don't like it all the same.
It just comes off as some over the top 'woah is me main character' shyt. It's like the movie Precious. Dude is now a drug addict with, a split personality who has seen his girlfriend and childhood sweetheart killed and now is a victim of gay pedophilia?! That's just too much misery. I mean I'm sure there are people who have had that shytty of a life but come on this is like a statistical miracle of misery right now.

Completely disagree. It's a completely logical and a common chain of events with clildhood trauma. There is usually some underlying trauma in play when kids become dissociative and closed off. I could see if it was just thrown in there but this show was written to conclusion from its inception.

But this isn't a normal story about a normal cat living a normal life.

The drug addiction/split personality stems from the sexual abuse.

His girl got killed because he sent her crazy ass ex to jail and he found out about it.

Angela got killed because she was involved with his plan to take down the Dark Army.

Elliot and his people are involved in some crazy shyt that can lead to some crazy shyt happening.

this clearly isn't just some random swerve. i think some people just mad their theories may have been off.

the reveal really just makes me want to go back and rewatch the whole series with this knowledge, but there isn't enough time for that now.
