i fukking LOVE prometheus.

yea yea damon lindelof, i know, he can suck my dikk too but that flick was pure scifi goodness. visuals were fukking incredible. it's hard to convey in words but the tone of the movie was haunting to me, mysterious and intriguing. And fukk what you heard, Michael Fassbender is GOAT in that movie, and saved it from mediocrity imo. I think it would've been better with the Jon Spaights script as a direct prequel, and yea, they really fukked up there, but I still love that fukking movie, love the ancient astronaut shyt.

I wouldn't say its a great movie, but it gets so much misplaced HATE I get kind kind of defensive and end up giving people the impression that I love it. But yeah, I was kind of into the "Ancient Astronaut" stuff as a child after I read the old 70's Charles Berlitz "Bermuda Triangle" book. I don't believe any of that stuff now, but I like movies that touch on those ideas.

I'm a huge Eddie Murphy stan. He has like 3 films in my personal top 10.

I think "Life" should get some of the praise that "The Shawshank Redemption" gets.


As for my contribution to this thread, I'm a fan of "The Ninth Gate" with Johnny Depp. The movie fools you into rooting for the main character, but...

the end of the movie implies that Johnny Depp is the Anti-christ from the Book of Revelation.
Can't think of another movie that has you rooting for the Anti-christ. Not couting "The Devil's Advocate" with its cop-out ending.

What worked for me with Prometheus is seeing it as a really good-looking (goddamn does that movie look good) Roger Corman-type B-movie. Like if you've ever seen Galaxy of Terror (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaxy_of_Terror), you'll see what I mean.

I can't say I stan for this....but I really like it and think it's incredibly original. It's by far the most auteurist take on a comic book film. The editing is so fukking cool.

Emile Hirsch is fukking great, dont really think i can call him underated, just dont see anyone around here talking about him....he kills the roles where hes based on real people....

A movie i love that my boys clown me on is Blue Streak with Martin...i been in love with movies where people pretend to be cops and shyt....which is odd cause I cant get into "Lets Be Cops"
