Not victim blaming at all, but I don't think they looked thoroughly before crossing. I take a glace damn near every step I take when I happen to be walking across a street Kuz i know there's more than enough shytty drivers on the road that could possibly make that day be my last

Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
while i agree people can be dangerous behind the wheel, not everyone gets a few drinks in them and decides to go 70mph in a 45. We need more regulation as far as making sure people actually know how to drive safely at all times. Not more harsh punishment. I think more challenging driving tests where its actually possible for shytty drivers to fail would accomplish more. There are some people on the road i wouldn't trust behind the wheel sober. much less after a couple of drinks. That way in case there are drunk drivers (who should still be arrested not advocating for them btw) they will at least not be crashing and killing people nearly as often
Thats part of the problem, people dont fear any consequences for their reckless actions. Maybe we need both, better regulation and harsher punishment.

In the video they are already in the middle of the intersection and we see cars turning and crossing as well suggesting they very well did look before crossing, just cant account for some idiot flying 75 mph through the intersection.

Hope he receives a lenient sentence from that Black judge, I saw his social media and he seems like a good dude. He'll probably get 20 years and do 15.

Look at the traffic light and there's literally a person 5-6 feet in front of them walking across as well not to mention the car that got swiped was waiting for them to cross to make a right turn

Yea it also depends how fast the car was going when they saw it the first time. Don't know the street layout but the car could've been coming around a corner when they looked. If I see too much motion I'll skip step or take my ass all the way back.

It's worth it to be overly attentive in certain situations, but we shouldn't even have to worry about things like this being a possibility

What makes y'all think they didn't look before crossing?

They could've looked. Proceeded.

Then the driver could have sped up from 40-100 in a matter of seconds. You can't avoid that shyt

Some of y'all comments are disappointing as hell.

I haven't read all of the comments but anyone trying to blame the women is a Grade A dumbass.

One car had already turned left on the green light and a second was turning as another car and the women were hit.

The light was green and that car looks to have been driven over 100mph when they were hit.

That's all on the driver and it's nothing that they could've done.

Lol you're the one who is wrong.

Cash only is different. That means NO 10%. No cash no surety.. Google it.

You're the one who has obviously never had a no cash bond
so you're saying the court regularly blocks a bondsman or other 3rd party from paying the bond???

cite your source on this....

also, cite your source on a judge allowing only 10% of the bond to be paid to the court

Cite the specific laws that you attribute to this increase since 2021...

also, whats the stats on the increase?
