Not to victim shame but you telling me you ain't aware enough to see a car coming at you at 90 mph?
Its insane how women be so oblivious to life period.
A car going that fast, you hear it coming.
I didn’t watch the vid so im not casting aspirations on those who lost their life, but so many ppl are not physically literate.
I try not to get mad because im not perfect, and I make mistakes, but every day in nyc, i see ppl, specifically women walking like the law is taking care of them.
I realized this randomly years ago, and heard it articulated well the other day.
The cops are minutes away in situations where every second matters. In those moments you are completely on your own.
Matter fact, thank God for a system made for other ls to help.
People are very comfortable with walking into the street face deep in their phone. The arrogance amazes me.
I have to come to terms with the fact that ppl are willing to die over the most trivial things. I’m not as bold as these ppl. Especially in nyc. If I see someone driving crazy, my first instinct is to get out of their way.
And im no saint. I raced random strangers on the highway for fun. But when im in over my head, whether it’s with bold ppl or selfish/unaware ppl, i try to cut my losses quickly.
As for not being able to sense a car going 90. I think that depends. If im parked and the light turns green at the intersection, for a small amount of time, you’re just at risk. Theres so many blind spots.
As a pedestrian, we are fully relying on ppl not driving onto the sidewalk, whether they lose control or otherwise.
Take a street like eastern parkway. If a car swerves out of control and onto the sidewalk, the person with the quickest reflexes is likely cooked
