Breh when I read about countries with walkable cities and even stances on lack of cars...

Only in America when lack of car= fukk you.

Like God forbid I actually want to get around by feet or public transportation. Maybe even a bike, but lmao. I remember one time almost getting ran over in Savannah and the dude looked at me like its my fault that he had to break, despite the fact I had the go ahead WITH THE GREEN LIGHT.

This countrys legislators and judges sold its people out to the oil and car industry decades ago. And like zombies Americans eat up these false notions that cars exemplify individual freedom. It’s like BP devising the concept of the carbon footprint…you the consumer are at fault for global warming not the fukking OIL INDUSTRY!!!

I was telling my wife this...that even if you have a car, it's not even your car. Think about it:

  • You got to insure it, otherwise you are in shyts creek as you will lose your license and or car
  • You got to take care of the car, or else you are not getting anywhere other than footprints
  • You are stuck in leasing and tax hell with the ride despite paying off a lease
  • You are bind to a lease that constantly throws bullshyt at you to make it impossible to even get out of it or pay it off
  • Maintenance becomes your tomb as you have to make sure the car is in order or else, you have an oversized trophy with wheels
  • A new law is made just to keep the cops paid and the roads dangerous to the point of not even wanting to drive
  • Gas keeps the chains bind as the prices either goes up or down depending on the feeling of Uncle Sam
All of these factors made me realized that I'm not insane of preferring to just walk or transit it, because I am free of the stress that comes with needing to drive.

You mad because I said the truth. Shut your overemotionally reactive ass up. Instead of getting mad,how about you READ UP on why this happening from actual sources instead of being a lazy minded bytch. Step your brainpower up, dumbass
St. Louis was designed to bear the burden of 1 million residents, even though today roughly 300,000 people live here. This means our roads are much wider and faster than they need to be, encouraging drivers to speed and causing perilous situations for pedestrians.

Your own sources don't support your lies. They talk about infrastructure issues, distracted drivers, and how cities are engineered for speed and traffic flow over safety. Your other sources talk about initiatives taken by the city to reduce the problem by building more traffic-calming infrastructure*. Nothing about BLM or police reforms.

* if you don't know what that means:

The light was green for them to walk. Usually when the light turns green most people assume they are safe and just are focused on crossing the street.

smh….i was involved in a hit and run two days before this like two miles away on the fukking highway leaving Mardi Gras down town…some idiot had to be flying close to 100mph directly behind me…I didn’t even see them, first thing I hear is screeching breaks trying to slow down before they hit me…they didn’t have time and side swipe me on the back driver’s side …and just kept on driving…I spin out on the highway and luckily no one else was coming….car wouldn’t drive straight…was able to pull off and get to a gas station and sat there for 3 hours waiting for the cops that never showed up

$30k in damages so far…waiting for the insurance company to get back, but they’ll likely total it out….was super super pissed…then literally days later I read about this story and I felt like an a$$hole for being so angry over material possessions and money , instead of feeling blessed I was unharmed …this is just absolutely tragic….STL absolutely has an issue with people driving like absolute idiots…i usually try to avoid that stretch of hwy 70 from the airport to downtown which runs through north county and the north side of the city, as it’s absolutely lawless…..downtown is just as bad…this is the second high profile accident like this in barely a year….i just can’t comprehend in these stupid muhfukkas minds….our local variant of mindless trap music is called “high speed music” :snoop:

Hope he receives a lenient sentence from that Black judge, I saw his social media and he seems like a good dude. He'll probably get 20 years and do 15.
No. Your basing it off race but this guy could of killed two Black women he has no regard for human life he deserves no leniency.

Not victim blaming at all, but I don't think they looked thoroughly before crossing. I take a glace damn near every step I take when I happen to be walking across a street Kuz i know there's more than enough shytty drivers on the road that could possibly make that day be my last
:why: they are nearly half way across the street and two cars with the right of way were already in motion. The idiot driver was going fast enough that once you saw him then it would be too late
