1.5 billion between 2 movies is barely making bank?

The series also isnt in limbo. They have 4 more movies lined up. How is that limbo?

The box office intake of the films are declining, last film barely cracked $200M domestic :mjlol: the films are also costing substantially more than the originals did(The Amazing Spider-Man had a larger production and marketing budget than The Avengers) , despite the original intention being to make a series that was cost-effective and cheaper :mjlol:.

The writers have come out and said that the studio is re-evaluating. They evidently don't know where they want to go, the series is laughably reactionary, one film tries to be "dark", "gritty" and imitate Batman Begins, the next film tries to be "bright", "Colourful" and set-up a struggleverse like The Avengers :mjlol:. Wouldn't surprise me if the next film is titled "Spider-Man vs Venom" :russ:.

Sony also sold the merchandising rights to Marvel as they thought these :trash: films would be making Avengers level money, hence in the increased budget in the second film. They would have been under Raimi, but that's none of my business tho

One writer who is no longer associated with the franchise made an irrelevant comment.

Drew Goddard left his marvel project to write and direct sinister six.

Let you tell it though.

Still can't get over how garbage this movie was. As a fan of martial arts movies I really wanted to like it, but after 30 minutes I realized I had made a mistake :snoop:

Easily the worst movie I've seen in the last 5 years, just dreadful.

Quantum of Solace. Holy god, what happened? And after the greatness that was (and still is) Casino Royale! It had some good scenes, but the movie never came together. The villain was incredibly weak, it was too short, and they set up a terrorist organization antagonist; only to never mention them in Skyfall.

I heard somewhere that it was rushed because of the writers' strike, but that doesn't make me feel any better about it.

Good pick, the action scenes were incomprehensible and then there was the total non-plot. I mean, the villain was basically stalling water in a third world country so they could get paid or some ol' bullshyt. Worst villain since the guy in Tomorrow Never Dies who wanted to start a world war so he could sell more newspapers.

The writers strike happened. Daniel Craig said he had to help write the script. :mjlol:
