This is the only answer... Basically changed gaming with every release and damn near every video game turned open world and copied their entire steeze
Probably two of the most memorable runs of my youth into my adulthood.

It's very reasonable to say id and blizzard were absolutely as impactful during their runs. We're talking about studios that made doom, quake, StarCraft, WOW, and diablo

That Bioware run was something to behold. I'd go with that.

Bioware & R* are the first to come to mind. Bethesda is right behind them also with Oblivion, F3, New Vegas and Skyrim.
