Breh, I saw this back when cable first came to my neighborhood in the 80's as a teenager and haven't seen it since. From what I remember, it wasn't disgusting, just freakin' weird and disturbing.

Think I watched it a total of 4 times just to be sure I saw what I thought I saw due to the subtitles distracting me.

In college I had to watch and do a paper on this filth. CACs in the film world hold this flick in high regard. :unimpressed:

The way the film presents everything is kinda light in tone but disturbing nonetheless. :francis:

A Dark Song

I dunno if I discussed this one before but this movie bought out a LOT of emotions outta of me. And it was disturbing because of how realistic the rituals were.

On surface level it’s about a woman who loses a loved one and wants them back so badly, she’s willing to try anything.

But it quickly turns into a psychological study because a ritual requires her to be stuck in a house with a stranger who can take her through a ritual.
By the end of the movie there are some absolutely beautiful moments, that restore your faith in humanity and also reinforce a simple truth:

DONT MESS WITH THE OCCULT.

Not sure if I answered this thread before.

As far as fiction movies,
hereditary had me fukked up for week.

I left that theater at 2pm and I was spooked the whole way home.

Non-fiction, I would say Life of Crime.
