THE KINGPIN! WORST DEBUT IN HIP-HOP HISTORY!

This shyt was so bad it tanked his whole career.....Craig G was dope, from QB, went to school with Nas, Juice Crew royalty, HAD classic songs already and dropped the worst rap album ever at that point shyt is 0.5 outta 10
CraigG-TheKingpin.jpg

He had to title his second "Now, That's more like it" (this one was actually dope but after the Kingpin NOBODY was checking for him) for as DOPE Craig g was and is.....The Kingpin has to be it...it makes no sense how bad that album was like what the fukk!

How the hell is Big L on the list? His album was great

Big L's first album is a really dope 1992/93 rap debut album near classic even

The ONLY problem with that album is that it came out too late....in late 1995

Think about it....All Eyez on me came out two months later.....its crazy....sony really fukked up

For the hype leading up to it, gotta say Canibus’ debut...shyt was so disappointing it totally derailed the trajectory of his career....he had hype like a young Nas based on how he was eviscerating his features and one offs and 2nd Round Knock Out...then the album dropped and just killed every bit of momentum he had...he never recovered, spent the rest of his career in weirdo underground world

“You mad at the last album, I apologize for it
Yo, I can't call it, motherfukkin' Wyclef spoiled it”

I can't even imagine what the reaction to that BCC album was back in 1997. nikkas in Brooklyn was probably throwing that CD out the window.

First time I listened I knew it was gonna be some bullshyt because it STARTED with an 80s Throwback joint. The 80s throwback is supposed to be the track 10 "Let's take a breather and kick it old school for a lil bit before we hit the final stretch" song, not an album opener. That right there let me know they had no direction and nothing good to set the tone.

Like why the fukk did they just throw the Beatminerz in the bushes for them garbage ass Casio default settings ass beats :dahell:

Like nikkas was really in the studio like ":gladbron: This is that HOT shyt"

Opening track was actually an extended version of how they set off their legendary freestyle on Tony Touch's "50 MCs Part 2" mixtape.

But yeah. Throwing the Beatminerz in the bushes was the biggest mistake sonically they ever made.

I've listened to this album dozens of times back in the late 90s, but can't even remember the last time I gave it a complete spin.

Sounds strange now. But Tony Yayo dropped one. G-unit had dropped Grodt, hfm, soc, and the documentary. All dope as fukk. Then dropped the Yayo album while Game was dissing.
Yayo's album was a pleasant surprise because everyone thought he was trash and couldnt carry an album or deserve one. I always thought it was a good album and way beyond what he is capable of and he's kind of proved it by not doing shyt since that minus that album with Danny Brown.

Gotta be Canibus...but it was a tough call...that Book Camp Click album was dissapointing too....i remember when it dropped and it was let down compared to Black Moon, Smif n wessun aalbums...they went with totally new production and tried to sound too mainstream

Unpopular as it is...i liked the Firm album since it came out...it aged pretty well.

Big L's isn't a let down really but it could have been better but a lot of the unreleased songs were left out

Kiss the Game Goodbye is a dope album imo...production, punchlines, guest appearances are on point

Drag On...I honestly never heard it but i remember the hype and not bothering with it because the Source gave it 2 mics...but he had a crazy buzz back then
