on Black on Both Sides and Blackstar, yet he is nowhere where to be found when people make top 5 or top 10 lists. Mos Def on Blackstar is one of the best performances by an MC of ALL TIME. I dare anyone to listen to his verses on there and come up with any legit criticism against it. Face it, Biggie might have belonged there in the 90s, but looking back from 2012 he got dusted something awful by his so called peers. Hell Ghost already had work on 36 chambers, OB4CL IronMan, and Forever by the time Biggie died. Why does he get shafted? Even when he was alive you could argue there was a bunch of people that were better

Mos Def himself was humble and he paid homage tho. I guess he was brainwashed too
