In fact, most of the backlash to MK 11 is people complaining about the toned down sexuality of female fighters and the predatory microtransactions in Krypt mode. The buzz was dying fast.

Then OP showed you a video with 5000 views, and think pieces are being written and you have people who weren't even thinking about this game ready to drop $60 tonight.

Yea that was part of the original storyline. Jax and Sonya served in the same unit. Was mentioned in the MK : Annihilation movie the video game and the comic book series.

Since 2014...I would say, its easy to miss if you're not tuned into whats going on in "nerd culture" and I admit I'm ashamed that I'm in-tuned with this shyt and feel nerdy for being up to date on it. But anyways but since "Gamergate"

The gaming community has been hijacked and co-opted by white racists and purposely targeted by folks from white supremacists groups as possible recruits because they feel like the "SJWs" have taken over their video games and made them "PC" and constantly forcing in their "Virtue signaling" into their games. So since that shyt happened, they've freaked out about any black character or representation constantly. Look at the shyt about the latest far cry DLC or Wolfenstein 2.

Mainstream gaming sites like Kotaku or IGN aren't going to talk about that shyt. But if you go in any gaming centered forums, they are easy to find. They have a whole community for these folks on reddit
