Feels like they could've given us 1/3, but Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni Man just seem similar to me. Then with Peacemaker, it feels like they could've just did a Peacemaker version of Johnny with John Cena as the actor.
Same as having Terminator, Robocop AND Rambo in MK11 and having Alien and Predator in MKX. It would've been like putting Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers in MK9.
Spawn, Freddy, and Kratos have been the best IMO.
Since this thread got a lil' bump, I was thinking about how Earth Realm being invaded under Sindel's order was mentioned in passing in story mode. That was too huge to be just something that was a conversation between Liu Kang and Sindel in story mode, but it never played out.
The writer in me wanted to see that fleshed out. In fact, after the opening scene, it would make more sense to see what MK1 Shang Tsung corrupted. We should've been seeing the Outworld forces ready and prepared to invade Earth Realm. Geras visits Liu Kang and tells him of the impending threat, Liu Kang scouts Outworld covertly by himself and sees the fruits of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's treachery, then Liu Kang trains Raiden, Kung Lao, Kenshi, and Johnny for Mortal Kombat. The tournament is the only way to stop the impending invasion. They could have everything play out the same way at Madame Bo's except its the Lin Kuei defending Madame Bo's from Outworld invaders. Smoke and Scorpion are suspicious of Sub Zero as they feel the Outworld invaders were too easily defeated and one of the invaders hints that Sub Zero could be the one to stave off the invasion if he would surrender the Lin Kuei to Outworld in exchange for unspeakable power as a general for Outworld. Liu Kang returns learning that the Lin Kuei had thwarted Outworld's invasion, but knows it is only the beginning as General Shao sent them to Earth Realm behind Sindel's back. He knows of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's treachery and has a prophetic vision of new Shang Tsung killing everyone (which is basically the MK1 trailer). After training Raiden, Kenshi, Johnny, and Kung Lao, Liu Kang returns to Outworld. Once again in Outworld, Liu Kang brokers a deal with Sindel to host a Mortal Kombat tournament. She agrees and the conditions are if Earth Realm wins, Outworld cannot invade. If Outworld wins, Earth surrenders to Outworld. She agrees. Liu Kang brings his warriors to Outworld. She hosts the tournament, Earth Realm wins as Raiden defeats each of the Outworld opponents.
Everything beyond that point plays out just like it does in story mode up until Damashi is revealed. After this revelation, I would do away with Dark Sindel bodying everybody. It is a dead horse at this point. Instead, she just faces off against the Sindel from Liu Kang's era, loses the fight, but sneakily kills new era Sindel. In vengeance, Kitana kills Dark Sindel by beheading her with her fans. After Shang Tsung's forces are defeated, Liu Kang and the gang go after Titan Shang Tsung. New era Quan Chi and new era Shang still link up with Liu Kang and the gang to face Titan Shang Tsung. Instead of there being all these different timelines belonging to different characters, only Liu Kang and Titan Shang Tsung's timelines exist. Liu Kang and company crossover into Titan Shang Tsung's timeline after he tries to destroy Liu Kang's hourglass. Titan Shang's timeline looks exactly how it looks at the end of MK11. They could still have the pyramid, but Titan Shang's timeline is all the villains and the evil versions of the good characters. The Kombat kids are still there in the pyramid fight, but there's not all these mixed up character fights. You're basically fighting villains and evil versions of the good characters.

It's an alt timeline Johnny from the end of the game.
I get that part. Johnny Cage was promoted as a Kameo fighter though during pre-orders and even after the game dropped. Then it was rumored that Janet replaced Johnny. Now here we are.
