I guarantee you that the coach had to apologize. A man that hasn't used his jizz to create you has no business shoving you or yelling at you as if he just caught you raping his daughter. Locker room or board room. People let a little power go to their heads.

Let's keep it all the way 100. Some of y'all that are sayin that kids are too soft these days and can't handle gettin verbally chewed out need to ask yourself this: If u went into work Monday morning and your boss did exactly to u what he did to that Moorhead State player, how would u react? Seriously, would u just say "hey, its cool", an allow another man to to berate and publicly embarrass u in front of dozens of employees and customers? Hell no, most of y'all would end up gettin fired for cussin his azz out.

I'm not sayin that players shouldn't yell at players, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, in ters of physicly puttin hands on a player. I've had coaches chew me out cursin all crazy, but I just took it like a G,but every player ain't built like that. Oaches have to know how to coach each individual player

This reminds of when I used to work for this temp, catering agency. This one night I was working a dinner function at an IBM location. While I was performing my appointed task, the manager there asked me to stop what I was doing and help out this older guy out. I proceeded to do so and help dude out. The manager came back like 5 minutes later and started barking at me because my station wasn't done. I gave her the  and snapped on her letting her know it wasn't done because she asked me to do something else. I caught her of guard because she just responded "oh okay" and walked off. For the rest of the night she was like my best friend lol.

The work environment is different than the realm of athletics, but they do share similarities. Coaches and people in authority need to realize that some people don't respond well to certain things. Doesn't make them sensitive, it's just how they are.

once again yall clearly aint been in these situations

i was the captain of my wrestling team my senior year and had a freshman who was 250lbs fat(just big and fat, not that strong)

he got by pushing folks around cause of his size and i was in his ass every practice for conditioning and he would complain to coach that i was singling him out

well lo and behold his first match he got manhandled and i found him crying in the lockerroom

moral of the story is if you cant handle big boy sports dont play big boy sports.

It's not about being sensitive, breh. That type of behavior is crossing the line. Period. Doesn't matter how often it happens or what level of competition we're discussing.

I'm ok with coaches yelling and getting loud (I yell a lot when I'm coaching my kids, and my best coaches yelled all the time too) but it becomes a problem when someone is shytting on a kid for making a mistake. My best coaches knew when to tone it down and I never feared them. You degrade a kid like that and many of them will either tune you out or hesitate out of fear whenever he gets in the game (only leading to more mistakes). It's just ineffective all around.

What big-name, successful coach constantly degrades his players like that? Besides, I highly doubt you guys defending this garbage would be ok with a coach talking down to your kid like that.
Saban regularly chews players out and benches and or revokes their scholly

once again this isnt intramural "everyone gets a shot and has fun" ball

A lot people don't understand that carrying or dribbling a ball in your hand doesn't give your coach the right to shove you or try to break your spirit because they feel that they can. If any of you made it to the pros because your coach shoved you, then there would be an argument.

I hope that when some of you have kids that play sports and the coach shoves them and continues to berate them in front of everyone, that you would at least have the guts to have a conversation with that coach and remind him that you are that kid's father, not him.

This actually proves my point. It's clear that the moral of the story is that you don't just "get in someone's ass" and expect them to succeed. Your teammate probably didn't know a single-leg from a high-crotch but you didn't say you helped him with technique or explaining why you can't just rely on size alone. If you only got on him about his conditioning, which is all you mentioned, then you shouldn't have expected him to perform any better.

As for Saban, first off: fukk that guy. I hope you guys beat them tomorrow. Second, I don't see Saban pushing his players or screaming at them in front of their teammates until they start crying. He knows when to back off and focus on teaching. There's a difference between chewing players out for making a boneheaded mistake and disrespecting them to try and break them down.

Nobody in this thread is arguing that high-level sports should be coached as if they were intramurals where "everyone gets a short." Not one person has said that.

We're saying there is a line between being a hard-nosed coach who is tough on his players, and a dikkhead who degrades his players. It's really that simple.
You can tell by this thread who has never played any kind of organized sports
No you can't, but you can definitely tell who has no legitimate coaching experience.

I wish this happened on the Cowboys situation to the coaches, players, or even Jerry Jones. I see losses in any of the final scenarios.

he half assed drills, conditioning, you name it

after his loss he took what i said to heart and ended up decent

the truth is most kids are too immature and dont understand personal responsibility

and folks like you empower them by saying ohh that coach is mean. nah breh. That coach was soft compared to the strength coaches ive seen at HIGH SCHOOLS let alone at a D1 program

if you gonna cry about a foul out, you dont deserve to play

yall act like this is some right to play, its a privledge to play ball for these programs :upsetfavre:

miss me with the "difference" there isnt. As long as coach isnt striking you maliciously or straight up cussing you(which he wasnt) i dont see it

youre given a scholly to play high level ball and accept to be coached, these kids get recruited to play the game BY the coach in question yet you want me to believe he aint know what he signed up for? tough break

Thgis shyt happens, but the coaches usually know who to do it to.
I remember in baseball practice, our coach was getting at one of our infielders for his defense and started repeatedly throwing the ball at him hard in close proximity, like 15 feet between them. The kid was afraid for his life. He only picked on thsi kid with the 'tough love".

The coach shoved him as if the player told him to suck his dikk on the way to the bench. If a coach ever put hands on your son like that, I would hope that you and that coach would have a discussion, fukk what the coach's feelings are after that.

Everybody knew that that coach took that shyt too far.

I cant speak on this because who knows how that player really acts when it comes to the coach and the team

for all we know, he could be some cocky, nonchalant, give zero fukks about anything type of new generation nikka who fouled out cause he said fukk this game, we gonna lose anyway

if i were coach, id do the same thing. These nikkas need to learn today
