I think Sony's orders were existing franchise and at least one new IP from each studio. Insomniac will have the most output because of rumors of Sunset Overdrive returning. They can still release a new IP by the end of the generation. Even the Polyphony Digital founder said he wanted to make something other than Gran Turismo.

I wonder what they would make though? Shooter, platformer, story driven game, etc.
Would be hilarious if the studio only known for Gran Turismo makes a ground breaking game of the generation type game out of nowhere

What's funny is the easiest time to get a ps5 is when I got it. The first target drop which was the first preorder. It was downhill after that. I was hesitant and wasn't sure if it was worth it after all the cross gen announcements but used forward thinking and some intuition to realize the PS5 hype is unprecedented. I already knew about the chip shortages before the preorders. Combine that with COVID and expanding gaming culture, I was able to realize I need to preorder a PS5 as security. One of the best decisions I ever made.

We was trying to tell nikkas to cop last year, cause its gonna be hard as hell to get it for a while and nikkas came in swearing they were gonna walk into target/walmart/gamestop in spring and pick one up and that we were beta testers.

Right. At this point square enix might as well be a sony studio since all their worthwhile games got over two years worth of exclusivity
