YES BROTHER! BUT LEDGER'S JOKER IS THE SAME CHARACTER, DUUUUDE! ONE OF THE PRIMARY ASPECTS OF THIS CHARACTER IS THAT HIS PERSONALITY WILL CHANGE ON A WHIM FOR NO APPARENT REASON, BROTHER! LEDGER'S JOKER IS JUST THE JOKER ON A MELANCHOLY DAY! HE'S STILL LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF LIKE A PSYCHOPATH! HIS ORIGIN IS STILL SHROUDED IN MYSTERIES AND LIES! HIS MOTIVATIONS ARE STILL AN AFFINITY FOR CHAOS AND AN ALL-CONSUMING EXCITEMENT AT UNPREDICTABILITY, BROTHER! THE HULKSTER DOESN'T DISTINGUISH BETWEEN LEDGER'S INTERPRETATION OF THE CHARACTER AND THE ESTABLISHED COMIC BOOK CANON, CHAMP!

They fukked Bane up by making him just a bodyguard for Talia. He had the chance to be great but they threw it all away for the sake of squeezing in another character. Up until that point I thought Bane was gonna be a top tier villain in comic movies.

I loved both but preferred Bane. Joker was too ill but he directly and indirectly killed more criminals than he did civilians. :manny:

Bane killed two football teams and executed a scientist live on tv. Blew up the Mayor, hanged nikkas off of bridges and made the US military fall back.

bane.

i posted a thread about this tidbit on the joker (heath ledger's joker) NEVER once killed a civilian. he believed that the civilians were no different than HE IS, and wanted to prove that point. yes, he was violent, he was unpredictable, but the biggest misconception is the notion that the sh1t he was doing was random or had no rhyme or reason. no, everything the JOKER done had a reason behind it. at the heart, the joker was merely an anarchist that believed there should be no structured order in the world.

BANE on the other hand, was a moral EXTREMIST. he was on some straight up sodom and gammorah type thinking that the entire CITY needs to be eradicated and he was was set to do it without any apology. people want to complain that talia was the leader, but BANE was the ENFORCER. and he wasn't trying to be "clever" with it, he just went out and DID it.

and whut made it more scarier is the fact he had LOYAL FOLLOWERS that were ready to DIE them damn selves for the cause!

I said it in the other thread, but its Joker and not even close.

Dude was a lunatic. With Bane, he big and powerful but he had a plan that everyone knew. Joker was just trolling. He just liked seeing death and pain and didnt really have a conscience. There was a plan but it just for lulz. Thats scary as hell.

Joker wasn't trolling. He did have a plan and that was to:

- Get the attention of Batman because he felt they were two sides of the same coin (not a coincidence that both Batman and Joker give Harvey Dent what he uses as Two-Face).

- Corrupt Harvey Dent to break the spirit of Gotham

Nothing Joker did in TDK was just for the hell of it. His motivations were just abnormal.

:what:

Joker blew up a judge, blew up Rachel, poisoned the Police Chief, broke Harvey Dent, and was on the verge of blowing up a boat full of civilians and criminals. He also killed a civilian every day that Batman didn't reveal himself.

:wtf: are yal talking about?

:aicmon: there is no basis for what ur saying.

Nolan out did the Joker character tht we all love. Deal with it:yeshrug:

Based on what I'm hearing about Tom Hardy's Bane, I'm starting to believe the bolded is true. :ohhh: I think people are a little bit too attached to Ledger's Joker and won't even consider the possibility that Bane >> Joker.

blew up the police station.

Bane was very well done, but man...ledger killed that role. I can only imagine what Nolan's plans were for the joker in the third film :to:

Yeah, and I forgot, he blew up a damn hospital.

People need to re-watch TDK before answering this thread. Seriously.

a lot of ya'll are caught up in the moment, but its Joker.

Bane loses points for the twist at the end and how he went out. plus the fact that Bane had a plan while the Joker was doing shyt just for the hell of it makes Joker a scarier villain imo

^ This is all true.

Also while Tom Hardy's Bane was incredibly ya'll are going a lil too hard saying he outclassed Heath Ledger's Joker. If ANYTHING they're on the same level but Ledger's performance was too perfect for me to feel right saying Hardy outdid him.

I think whichever villain you personally vibe more with comes down to what you like more in a villain. I'm more into the psychotic, be evil just for the sake of it type over the focused evil with a plan type so I give the slight edge to Ledger's Joker.

I feel Hardy better get Oscar recognition though...just like Ledger did.

Bane was gonna meet him in Arkham Asylum but ends up leaving him there cuz he was too much of a loose cannon to work with. :youngsabo:
