its the joker. Bane was bad as hell fightwise 
but I see a lot of nikkas on here ain't able to grasp his steez-- he's the anti Batman. If that makes sense. Not spoilin but in the new movie Bruce kept talkin bout how the mask/costume is really about givin the public the idea that Batman could be anybody, sorta the idea that everybody or can be hero. So his deeds is about building humanity and all that shyt. The joker was tryna break that kinda mentality. in the world but especially in Batman cuz if he could break a dude crazy enough run around in a suit tryna preserve it then how hard could the rest of us be? He wasn't "doin shyt just to do it" at all

Joker-Philosophical, playful, nihilistic, no remorse, logical (even if we don't agree w/ his logic there is a method to his madness)
Bane-Violent, revolutionary, serious, little remorse (IMO the scenes w/ Talia and the lil boy on the football field show that he understands empathy and beauty yet chooses to partake in a violent takeover, the recognition and refusal to be good is also scary) Not to mention them bodyshots brehs both Bane/Batman fight scenes were some of the best in the trilogy. Bane only slightly gets the nod.

Joker. i love what Bane did but aint nothin out ranking Joker. Joker was a one man wrecking crew think bout that. Bane had Talia being the brains of the operation but Joker was all him and he killed his goons while Bane used his and had 10 times as many
This is exactly why I watched TDK the night before I saw TDKR.

Hardy was great and Bane was a great character.
But Ledger's performance as The Joker is an ALL-TIME character/performance. It is hands down the best part of that movie and the entire trilogy. Nothing else is close.
More "bad-ass" though....I don't particularly give a fukk because I don't know what that means.
