We had his ass last night ( ). I mean we fukking had him. Me, my boy, and 2 dudes with Fatalis head and chest so them dudes HAD to have beaten him before. Right off the back they start fukking up. Switched up my build for Wide Range 5 and Free Meal 3 since I was able to craft the legs and waist. I was almost out of mega potions at the end of the first stage trying to keep these a$$holes alive . Somehow we make it to the third stage with no deaths, then shyt goes all the way left. a$$hole 1 and 2 die and take forever to come back. My boy decided to bytch out and stop attacking until they come back. One dude drops in and then my boy gets killed. MF got so down on himself and I'm like we still got a goddamn job to do . We get his ass on skull and we time out . That lost DPS from the dudes dying and my guy falling back did us in. Also didn't help I missed a flinch shot or two.
Getting there but still so far away. MFs need to start coming prepared to this fight. No Blight Resistance or Fire Resistance 20+, not managing their health, weapons with shields but no shield jewel. The quality of hunters fell off hard when Iceborne released.
This feels like extremoth but worse. I can't even beat him once
Might have to call it quits for mhw

That armor is there to fast track you to Iceborne content. You can get through a handful of MR quests with it but not much further. It makes things very easy. Once you hit those MR monsters you'll find they're less forgiving with mistakes. They hit hard and move fast.So I started dabbling with this on gamepass and been enjoying it so far I have about 100hrs spread across the 3DS and Switch titles so I’m already wailing on these mf’s with the charge blade off top. I’m only Hunter Rank 4 right now but I’m flying through these missions so far
I’m so used to playing the 3DS versions/ports of these games, I really appreciate the look and feel of the weapons, monsters, and environments.
Any long time players have any tips? Also, this Hunter armor I chose in the character creator seems hella OP for where I’m at, how long is this shyt gonna be viable?

Always eat. It's usually a good idea to tailor the build to the hunt rather than trying to have a singular build, unless you're comfortable. Make use of the farm and set your bounties often.
Good shyt. The biggest thing for me is figuring out all those little systems and how to use them efficiently. That being said I almost can’t believe I stomached this series on handheld The combat and movement is so much smoother and the environments feel alive. Coming from that background makes me appreciate it more on console
Is it worth it to get into this so late??
