Is this something I should watch in the theater or wait for streaming?

Theaters around me are already starting to have only one showing per day.

I know why though.

It's a coin toss. It's a fun watch, but definitely not something that I think absolutely must be seen in a theater for the best experience. If there's a showtime that works for you, and you've got free time, do it. But if the showtimes are shytty enough that you have to go out of your way to see it, might as well just wait.

This was a dope movie. Waaay better than I expected based on some of the reviews I've heard and read about it.

The fight scenes are solid but It's not a full on action movie, it's more of a crime epic built around cultural myths. The one issue I had with this movie was the lack of development with the bad guys, specifically the guy that played the underboss, he has a strong presence but it feels wasted. Very good directorial debute from Patel, you can tell he picked up alot from working with Danny Boyle.

Movie is streaming on Peacock now. It was good. I hated the shaky cam during the fight scenes, but other than that, it was solid.

Pretty good movie. Cinematography during the fight scenes were A+.
The use of color was very nice.
It is pretty amazing Dev wrote, directed and starred in it.

Just saw this. Solid B/B- broke no new ground but fight choreography was very well-done. Shaky cam was wack

Patel has legit skills too. If you like The Protector or Triple Threat you'll dig this.

Very few flicks can reach the heights of The Raid (1 or 2) this doesn't but it's enjoyable on its own terms.

Raid 2 is in a league by itself. Raid 2 might be the greatest action flick of all time. That kitchen fight scene alone is GOAT.
