The WNBA is about to fall flat on it's face again and it will be womens fault. They so damn used to crying about relevance and being a victim that they don't know how to turn that shyt off and take advantage of a situation.
It's like they never heard the saying "A rising tide lifts all boats". Instead of riding the wave, the women are poking holes in the boat.
When Magic and Bird showed up the NBA used that increased interest to get the damn games off tape delay and grow the games popularity as much as they possibly could. There 100% was a racial angle to that, everyone knew it, but they also knew they needed to sell tickets and gain eyeballs. The entire league became aligned on what they needed to do to increase popularity and if some people weren't with it the league got them out the proverbial paint.
Look, what the women were doing last year, 2 years ago, or 10 years ago is IRRELEVANT. People weren't watching then and you aren't going to make money off the past. What you need to realize is people are watching now and do everything you can to ensure they keep watching.
The WNBA needs leadership who can get EVERYONE aligned, including the media, to ride this wave.
People want to watch basketball. The shyt these bull dykes out there doing isn't basketball and it's feeding into the negative stereotype the league has always had. And it's blatant. I'm not just talking about the shyt with CC, but it going on with Angel as well. Just a blatant lack of professionalism from the players, to coaches, to the legacy media. You want the money, fame, chartered flights, etc..... basically the standard set by the NBA but you don't want to do the work and you continue to operate well below standard expectations that come along with it. It's your fault, not the general publics.
