I know these number selections will change after camp, but damn.
While I agree that pressure is important, we need players on the backend that can cash in on those errant throws. Who do we have back there besides Woods thats a ballhawk? We know Byron and Chido are allergic to turnovers, AB is a penalty machine, and Heath is Heath.
I honestly didnt look at last years defense and say “Damn we need more pass rush”. What ultimately got us killed was having no run stuffer one-tech that we’ve needed for years. We always use Jags there.
Woods
McClain
Hayden
Brent
As far as Safety goes, yes DT is a more important position on the football field. I will never deny that. But for this season, when we are in win-now mode who would u rather see out on the field
Maliek Collins Jeff Heath.
Win-now mode before we have to pay the dikkhead QB $30m (). Hill wont even start, while Thornhill will come right in and be the best Safety on this roster.
We all wanted ET this last year and some change and now, “safety isnt important???
Im not even going to get into the fact that Jones>>>Hill, which is my other reasoning for hating this pick.
Me too. Its been too long having safeties.this safety situation is really making me angry. what other franchise would do nothing after that rams debacle? i'm telling yall once a player gets into that "garrett leadership council", you're pretty much teflon from losing your job.
No rookie is better than present Woods. Heath ran his course and had a good career considering his pedigree but y’all actin like he was giving up all these plays every week. I keep asking y’all. Was Heath the reason the Rams shyt on us for 3 straight quarters?
You cant simplify it to one game. The pass defense has been a problem for a while now.No rookie is better than present Woods. Signing Berry is interesting because that’s pretty much saying he’s the starter. Eric Berry isn’t hacking up Jeff Heath lol. And if Berry comes they can’t lie about it being a competition either.Right...
And Dallas bout to sign Berry on the cheap I think.. Hope that ease some of this Safety talk
Y’all keep bringing up the Rams game. Seattle game was Heath a huge problem? Byron was the one fukkin up that day. The only game Heath sticks out in was the last eagles game when Ertz was clowning his ass. Other than that I don’t recall yellin at the tv about him. The two worst defensive performances last year (Indy, Rams) were on the dline. I don’t think it was on the players because the dline been ballin all year and Rams oline ain’t that nice. Coaches fukked up. Marenelli or Richard. Ima say Rod since he’s the dline specialist.You cant simplify it to one game. The pass defense has been a problem for a while now.
Hill= rotational piece
Thornhill= Starter
Its simple as that
Breh, we know u are Heath’s biggest apologist on here so we gon have to agree to disagree.Y’all keep bringing up the Rams game. Seattle game was Heath a huge problem? I’m not saying Heath don’t need a replacement, I’m just sayin we focused on the wrong shyt. If Dak improves and coaching doesn’t totally expose themselves we’ll be good. First half rams defense was embarrassing and Heath wasn’t at fault.
We didnt just fine starting heath and woods though. They weren't the reason we lost to the Rams, our line was. Regardless, it's ok to have a few holes on the team, I like the fact we have depth in the trenches now. We also brought in ioka so I think the panicking over the safeties is a bit overblownMe too. Its been too long having safeties.
The last time we had a #1 defense was in 03. Guess who we had at Safety? Woody.
The sad thing about the safety situation is this draft was the perfect opportunity to address the position. It was a deep class and we didnt get any of top guys. Now next year, watch. Another need will be the focus. They will look to address TE, DE since Quinn is on a one yr deal, and WR since Cobb is on a one year deal.
Why do yall keep simplifying it to the Rams game??We didnt just fine starting heath and woods though. They weren't the reason we lost to the Rams, our line was. Well people are bringing up the rams because it's the game that actually cost us in the playoffs. Before that game, our defense was seen as one of the best in the league despite the safety play.Why do yall keep simplifying it to the Rams game??
Oh and look at the OP. Bum ass Heath couldnt run down Jared Goff and it sealed the damn game.
Like i said, we were 22nd vs the pass last season. A better secondary and we improve there.
Breh I said Heath can go. I’m just sayin Rod and Richard, whoever fukked up needs to do better. When I see what belicheck did to the Rams it pissed me off. We have better players than them. Is Patrick Chung so much better than Heath? I can imagine us having Chung and fans hating him same as Heath. Dak and defensive coaches are all I’m focused on. The talent is there on defense and Dak has weapons on offense. Both get no more passesBreh, we know u are Heath’s biggest apologist on here so we gon have to agree to disagree.
You ask any random Cowboy fan what player we need to replace on defense, who will they say? Heath or Maliek Collins???
But it really wasnt one of the best in the league. Look at the numbersWell people are bringing up the rams because it's the game that actually cost us in the playoffs. Before that game, our defense was seen as one of the best in the league despite the safety play.
