At some point MJF will head to WWE, and it will be interesting how MJF will handle WWE's style. Vince handpicks his wrestlers he wants to push, and at times will kill pushes for no reason. No doubt MJF will make more money, but he can no longer be a heel outside of the ring. One of the things he was good at, was keeping it Keyfabe, but now he has to be out of character. While there is no doubt he can talk on the mic, he will be at the mercy of WWE Writers.

Its going to happen sooner or later. He will make great money with WWE, but how will he handle the fukkery that goes on?

Ya'll still thinking these wrestlers treat this shyt like wrestling fan boys.

Money is literally the #1 motivation for all of these wrestlers, as it should. And not just base salary but just the general exposure of WWE eclipses anything from AEW. WWE is the mountain. Ya'll can debate online how much you like about booking and workrate but WWE is the highest level to get to in the wrestling business and any ambitious person in the industry who believes in themselves should have that as a goal to achieve.

And will they be booked badly? Probably. But guess what AEW signing up every bum ass ex-WWE guy who ever worked a WWE Main Event jobber match, so why not try your hand at the big leagues to see if you can get a big push, and if it doesn't work out, Tony's mark ass gonna be there the moment your contract is up with a big ole offer.

I think AEW is a good place to start your career, build up a rep, get experience through indies and international promotions, but WWE should be a goal for any wrestler who believes in their talent.
Maybe 20-30 years ago, but in the modern age of YouTube vlogs and prowrestlingtees and whatnot, I really don't think this is the case anymore. There's no way Danhausen would be making more in NXT than he currently is, for example.

“the way it was portrayed to us is MJF was in no place to be in public. He was in a bad place. And so it just seemed if not mutually agreed upon [it was] pretty obvious to everybody that it would be good for him to not make a public appearance yesterday
That doesn't sounds good from a mental health aspect.

TK gotta pay that man:manny:

He honestly should have gotten a raise much earlier if he was initially on that starter salary. Now I have no idea how much that raise was but hes kinda earned another one just off him doing well in the ratings for his segments. MJF is a young cat too so hes obviously gonna have less patience

Guess we'll hear something about how the meeting went yesterday. Khan needs to hold onto some of the pillar talent (Jade and MJF in particular, who I feel are probably still gonna go to WWE just to test the waters)
I'd be interested to see what Jade does. She rejected WWE when she signed up with AEW because of having to move to Florida and the schedule. Wonder how much money she'd have to be paid to compensate for that.

I've heard quite a few former WWE wrestlers say they making more now than they were in WWE. And some of them aren't even in AEW. If you're an attractive woman willing to do OnlyFans you can basically be printing money after leaving WWE.

That's why my Miz comparison was not meant as a slight.. MJF could be the next Miz which means he'd be a multi millionaire. But his height could cost him so it's not a given that he'd do well.

Miz can keep doing what he’s doing into his early 50s. Miz overly long run is why EC3 was a mute on the main roster and didn’t do anything but get his ass kicked

:ohhh:You mean to tell me names people know are getting paid more than a person nobody outside the aew audience knows?

I mean, Jeff Hardy, Jericho, Mox, who are over and sell merchandise, cool, but you know Christian and Mark Henry aren't drawing anything.

Yeah but Christian is a producer and Mark Henry is a coach. Don't know if they do anything else but they do a lot more off camera than on. Still doesn't mean they should be paid more than MJF, but they aren't there for the march and TV ratings.

First off, I can't believe anyone in AEW is making multiple millions per year. They don't do house shows, they have far fewer revenue streams than WWE, their TV deal is much, much lower. I could see giving Jericho, Kenny, The Bucks, Bryan, and Punk in the $1.5M range, but Mark Henry in a scouting role, Big Show in a commentary role on Youtube, Christian who has worked 20 matches in 15 months with the company, Alister Black? That doesn't seem like good business, especially as a lot of the talent brought in over the past year are people who WWE cut or otherwise weren't interested in them.

As for MJF, yeah of course he should have gotten a raise. He did. And he knew TK was going to throw the bag at him when it was time for a renewal. With that much time left on his contract, to hold the promoter up the weekend of the biggest PPV of the year where he's in a featured match that is the culmination of a 2 1/2 year storyline seems pretty risky. He's going to get the bag now, yes, but at the cost of his reputation and both business and personal relationship with TK.

AEW has significantly less expenses and overhead than the WWE.

And like has been stated before (several times), Henry and Christian are doing more than what you say they are. I don't really know what Big Show does though. I would assume he has some sort of backstage role like all the others that don't or rarely wrestle.
