dogg, Gretzky has more assists all time than any other NHL player ever has assists+goals combined... dude was the greatest passer AND goal scorer hockey has ever seen, that's crazy

and I don't even watch hockey like that at ALL, but dude's dominance is undeniable

But it's hockey. It's a third tier sport. All the great athletes played basketball and football.

Gretzky dominated his sport more than anyone else. But let's not forget he was playing with a HOF team. That Oilers team was a crazy stacked team.

MJ had Pippen and a whole bunch of role players.

Therefore MJ >>> Gretzky.

Bonds has the * going for him so I can't put that niqqa anywhere near the top 10.

I've only seen Ali fight on highlights and old classics. Can't truthfully say he was the GOAT when I wasn't alive during his run.

Tyson was a fukking gimmick. Beat up on cans and shyt and when someone finally punched him back, he folded.

MJ > Gretzky

Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem/Lew>>>Jordan anyway

but its Gretzky in North American team sports, not close.

if you want to include individual sports, Carl Lewis, Edwin Moses, Bolt, Phelps, Steffi and Martina, Ray Robinson, Fed Dawg and others as well

if you include international, Di Stefano, Puskas, Beckenbaur, Pele and Maradona

seriously? I'm not even a hockey fan and I know this. Gretzky's records are untouchable.

The records speak more so of longevity, because he played 20 years in the NHL. If you look at Jordan's career objectively, he only played really 11 NBA seasons. 1986, He broke his foot and missed 64 games, 1994 (retired), 1995 (played 17 nba regular season games) 1999, 2000, (retired) then the last 2 wiard years. There's no doubt Jordan would be the leading scorer in NBA history had there not been unfortunate mishaps which cost him to miss numerous NBA seasons in his prime. It looks like an excuse on text, but it's actually an objective and sensible reason.
