Houston
great trade for the rockets

even if they dont get dwight, theyre in a great position to tank

3 first rounders this year plus donatas motiejunas is coming over...plus chandler parsons...

those 5 guys are locked up for the next 4 years and will make a combined salary of 5-6 million dollars a year

rockets could take kendall marshall with one of those picks, gamble on perry jones with the other, and then use the last pick on sullinger. :wow5:

between those 5 guys listed, at least 3 will prove to be worthy of playing 16-20 minutes per game, worst case scenario.

rockets would be able to add 2 or 3 max free agents and still be able to have talented depth around them

Agreed, Houston has overachieved the last 3 years, just to end up with the 14th pick while the rest of the league ain't playing fair. Time to take a 50/50 gamble. Either we entice DH to stay or he goes and we can properly tank.

Also flipping CBud was a smart business move, we got the draft rights to CBud who was a 2nd round (44th pick) from Detroit in exchange for our 2nd round pick this year  so really Detroit lost cuz we in turn flipped Chase for a 1st round pick. I like Bud, but Parsons came on strong this year better defender/passer/slasher while CBud is a better shooter.

Also both Lowry and Dragic are hot commodities right now, Lowry doesn't get along with McHale while Dragic is willing to resign if he's a starter, so it only makes sense to dangle Lowry out there.

Plus historically, we always hook the Magic up, rape Memphis and Sactown and play nice with Minny, so thus far we got a good pace going.:ld:

Exactly. Our team is stuck in basketball purgatory. We are good enough to be in the playoff hunt but not good enough to make it. I would rather us have at least one bad season where some young players get experience and land a franchise player in the draft. Even if we get Dwight, it doesn't do anything. Dwight is trying to play on a team where he can compete for championships ASAP. Unless we get can get Dwight and Dwill, we should try and get two solid picks and move salaries like lowry, scola, and martin for picks or young talent. From there we might have some cap space to add two all star level players in the future as we develop our talent.
