Folks forget that these teams are corporations at the end of the day and maintaining stability & profitability is what they're most looking for.

I don't think people are even grasping that there are some legit horrible coaches out here. Stephen Silas lacked any organizational structure and was a deer in headlights. I hate to be the guy defending Doc Rivers but that Celtics-76ers series wasn't his fault......and in many ways you could argue that he outcoached Mazulla despite the Celtics being more talented. His stars just didn't show up in crunchtime to close out the Celtics in Game 6 and they got blown out Game 7 on the road where the home team wins 70% of the time.

Shams saying Doc. Hell nah man.

Why would we hire Griffin in the first place smh. I think if the vibe wasn't right, better to do it now though. And word is the players weren't feeling Griffin, so it is what it is. But man keep Doc away from my team please.

My hunch is that Adrian Griffin put his foot down and was a disciplinarian towards Giannis and Dame, and they want to hire Doc Rivers to do the opposite

First and foremost this probably had nothing to do with basketball. Adrian spent his time under Nick Nurse and the Raptors who were regarded as one of the best coaching staff in the league. Maybe he was too much of an authortarian especially with their star players.

I want to say that Doc Rivers is one of the most overrated coaches in the league. He has been lucky to coach some very good teams.
