It's actually crazy when you think of it. Doc rivers if he gets hired will have coached in 24 straight years
Doc has had an inordinate amount of tough breaks as a coach.
Chris Paul flopping for a call and turning it over against OKC and costing them the series in 2014.
Josh Smith and Corey Brewer shooting out of their minds in the 4th quarter of game six in 2015 with Harden on the bench.
The 3-1 lead in The Bubble against Denver.
Ben Simmons quitting against the Hawks.
Embiid NEVER coming through against Boston.
You can say Doc is the constant but I feel some of that is out of his control.
nah fukk that, respectfully. i'll stay consistent on two things being true
1) griffin was 100% right to not cede ground and protect his position as the head coach of his team. too many black coaches play nice and get undercut by replacements that they enabled by being passive.
2) griffin was terrible on both ends of the court and the bucks record is not indicative of his success, but the talent of that roster. they've had two horrible coaches back to back in bud and griffin. they should've never hired a rookie coach for a team with championship aspirations and clear course correction in mind.
I know the coli doesn’t watch basketball like that but nikka pointing at 30-13 like they was balling fr sound crazy. They been coasting off straight talent . It’s been basically let Dame shoot from 40 or pray Giannis can hit stick 3 nikkas on his way to getting a lay-up.
The damn Pistons made them look easy as hell to defend
He probably don't got faith in him to be the HC...Why ain’t Dame crying for Vanterpool?

Doc is like 17-35 in series clinching games or something similar to that, his teams are known for struggling to seal the deal
Blew a 3-1 lead to Detroit in Orlando. Had Atlanta & Cleveland force G7s in 08. Blew a 3-2 to Orlando in 09 with G7 on their home floor. Blew a 3-2 lead to the Lakers in 2010. Blew a 3-2 lead to Miami in 2012. Blew a 3-1 lead to Houston in 2015. Lost G7 at home to Utah in 2017. Blew a 3-1 lead to Denver in 2020. Lost G7 at home to Atlanta in 2021. Blew a 3-2 lead to Boston last season
At a certain point it’s not just a coincidence or bad luck

In the end, we have a very tight window to win with this core (the future has been mortgaged for it) and we can't fukk around. Right or wrong and definitely with Giannis's approval, they decided to rip the bandage off. I don't think Doc is the solution, but there really isn't an agenda beyond winning with the core we have.
