people who grew up in the city and outlying parts of MD, and even parts of VA, are serious sports fans that spend way too much money on our teams that historically don't even produce. NOT saying we're a sports town like boston or philly, but then again, we have real lives and don't subsist on the sawx and AI highlights from the 90s.

this is the other thing, we have other shyt to do than support these teams who stink. I rather be a DC sports fan and do other shyt than live in Philly or Boston.

significant moments in the history of boston and philly:

1776: help defeat the british empire

2000s: win sports titles

you are thinking from pro sports only.

the soul of this city is bball. Athletes, nationally renown HS and AAU teams, college teams and in terms of history.

This is not a football town, but we love the Redskins.

ehh i dotn know..NYC produced tons of bball players but baseballs a religion there so its a baseball town same with DC with the skins

i can see why people would say that. certain people that is. and by certain people i mean c*nts from ohio who work on the hill and only know people who work on the hill, where people from woodbridge, VA are considered washingtonians.

Come on Breh, NYC can do both.

baseball is a religion in NYC because NYC was first a baseball town. The Yankees were there before basketball was created and they had a lot of talent come of NYC from the start of the sport's history.

if you dont live in the DC area, you wouldnt know. This is a bball town first.

you're talking about a city that has 8 million people and with its most famous borough running 24/7 compared to a city of 600,000 plus outlying areas totaling 1-2 mil

it's not even about better things to do, it's about identifying yourself as a washingtonian instead of just "redskins fan"

I love Chicago and ain't never gonna diss it, but Wilbon be clowning sometimes. He ain't gotta go full Drew Sharp/Rob Parker heel turn, but nikka ain't gotta be so obvious :comeon:
